Fuel cell? I was told that it was not the fuel cell, but the NOS bottle that got knocked loose and was sticking out the top that was causing the concern...:eek: :eek: :p :)
 
sam what time are you you going to be leaving to get to the track? i think nate is leaving around noon

On the time issue, perhaps time could be saved if more cars were put in each heat race, thereby cutting the number of races that have to be run. For example, 13 Hornets were separated into three heats Saturday. Why not run 7 in one race and 6 in another?
 
Thought the event was definately entertaining --- Saw a lot of drivers (& their wives) that I hadn't seen in quite a while --- getting to visit during the yellows was fine by me. I think some of the things that occurred were similar to running a race on lets say "Friday the 13th, under a Full Moon" (JMO) --- I mean its not often you get that kind of variety offered for the number of yellows in one evening, and I also agree, that based on the bizarre events the occurred, the track officials did the best they could, and since it was a Sat evening, who cared if it ran a bit late ---- I was having a good time, and stayed till every race was over, and every trophy awarded ---- I liked that they recognized the track season winners @ the end of the evening. Much better than trying to coordinate the winter weekends for banquets, when that time can be spent working on the car(S) for the 2006 season.

If you must know... Yes I taped the first and the 3rd. I ran out of tape at the end of the first heat, and to tape josh I had to rewind it to the beginning of the tape and tape over some of the heats from godfrey the night before. So yes, I taped the first and the last heat races, I would have liked to have taped the 2nd because Todd Erickson won his first heat race that night, but that just wasn't an option.

Sam or Angie There were alot of things that happened that night and I believe they wasted alot fo time on unnecessary things, but when your fuel cell was about to fall out, I do not believe they wasted time because there would have been more wasted for cleaning a spill or worse letting you race again and having it come out and hit something/someone. So I agree with the officials... Just because I said they wasted time on something that was funny, doesn't mean it was your mishap that they wasted it on.

Smart one... Hey I was on a 4-wheeler and I still wasn't tall enough to see over you... lol... It blew that I didn't get to tape it all... I changed the setting now though, it should tape for 120 mins, instead of 30 min... I hadn't ever used it before... I did pretty good taping with head in my way.... Too bad I didn't get you guys running over the trophy... Racing's Funniest home videos.. I would have had it... LOL
 
I don't understand how Zach Daum recieved third in the Micros when he spun out two times? Best we had figured he was running seventeenth or eighteenth, if he took third place he knows it was wrong and therfore does not deserve second in points, more like tenth!!!
 
ok its my turn.... the officials, especially the flagman wasn't the regular flagman, the front line up man wasn't the regular line up man, so you have to consider all factions before you say it was poor officating. Sounds like the drivers knew the reg flagman wasn't there because..... (You had cars spinning each other out, cars not lining up where they were supposed to until they were shown the black flag, cars late to their races, cars losing whole rear axles, cars with fuel cells dragging, cars getting stuck on dirt berms, tow truck getting stuck in the mud, & cars running over their trophies)... well for one thing I don't allow cars to spin other cars out they will receive a black flag, cars not lining up usually the front line up man carries a black flag to let them know he means business, cars getting stuck on dirt berms, lol thats there own fault, and running over a trophy...now thats funny lol. well i just wanted to put my nickles worth in and I guess i did. and congrats to Josh Jackson for the championship.

No, it's the second time. There were nearly 30 Street Stocks for the Big Dawg Fair Night race.

Honestly, do you really think that it hasn't occured to everyone at BCR that they're not going to get many hornets or street stocks for most of the Saturday shows, given that Highland is just 20 miles away? :rolleyes: It has already been pointed out that they're running on Saturdays as a courtesy to all the FASTRAK racers from far Southern Illinois and Kentucky.
