Burris Summer Shootout Series @ JYI August 28th

have you ever heard of local option?

ric, maybe you should also find the part that says we reserve the right ...

Weathers not looking good for this weekend. Hopefully they can make a desicion before everone has to drive all the way down.

Where is $$ Going ??

So the question remains, where does the $ go ?? With what was given to the winners last season, and the weak payouts at each race, where is the cash? $30 entry fee,x-tra pitpass sircharges.30% of entry fee being siphened off.It doesn't require a calculater to see that alot is being kept. How about some answers to these questions.

to quote Steve:
the series gets $3 per pit pass sold at the event august 28 at jyi and thats it. all other monies stays with the facility. (the series gets $2 to $3 per pit pass sold at all events from the track except from ben hur and jules which are set fees)

It sounds to me like the 30% off the entry fee is going to JYI, along with $2 of the extra $5 on the pit pass.

well it's all quite interesting. Let's hope the weather cooperates........It's all about having fun and the reports on the weather aren't great. Let's hope we're Bedrock bound tonight and Coulterville Bound tomorrow

ddracing

You won't find an answer to your question about racing or not because of the weather on this site. You might need to drive all the way there, then you will know. Pay your money the lose pit money when canceled. It would be nice if someone posted it either here or on the JYI site. Just think, you might get some more racers and some competition. Unless your scared to get beat.

We are supposed to get a call from Steve if the race is cancelled due to weather or whatever. (becuase my son is running the Burris points and we paid the entry fee ($10) ) We are 2 hours from Coulterville but if I get the call from Steve before we leave or if we hear anything from JYI I will make a post so everybody will know.

I know last week was kind of bad becuase nobody ever responded. When I saw you had made the post with the question I didn't feel it necessary to post back with the same question, I just kept checking to see if anybody had responded to your post. If I get the call I will be sure to make a post. how far are you from JYI?

Weather Report

There will be info posted tommorrow morning in regards to the status of the race, hopefully we'll know by 12noon. GUARANTY !!!

21 race fan, hopefully the weather will hold off & we'll see you tomorrow. Where were you guys last weekend? Too far?

It was just going to be too far to drive after the Bedrock race on Friday night, so we decided not to make the trip. As it turned out Bedrock was rained out Friday night so on Saturday night we went to JYI in Coulterville. Hoping to get Bedrock in tonight and JYI tomorrow. Then next week heading to Sikeston on Saturday for the Missouri Championship Race.

With racing at Bedrock on Friday nights we just decided it was too far to drive after the race. Then Bedrock got rained out so we went to JYI on Saturday. Planning on Bedrock tonight and JYI tomorrow...............however it just started pouring buckets here and is moving east so it doesn't look good for tonight. Next weekend we're heading to Semo Raceway in Sikeston MO for the Missouri State Championship, haven't been there before but it should be fun. Saw some nice posts on Midwestdirtkarters.com about you guys! Hopefully they can make a decision about JYI before you make the long drive here. If it doesn't happen this week we'll see you in Greenville on the 11th.

It's not quite as far as some of your guys drives but still is enough. We had a fun Feature with Domenic as we were good in the feature & right on each others bumper. All we needed was Will to make it more exciting. What do you mean by posts on the site? Pictures? See you either tomorrow or in two weeks.

im leaving tonight around 6pm and will not be able to update on the pc. use these #'s for race info incase the weather doesnt cooperate. talked to rodney a few minutes ago and he said everything is good as of now. weather channel says scattered showers @ 40% chance for tomorrow. a final decision will be made no later then noon tomorrow. if the track is in good shape at noon we will have to cross our fingers and hope for the best. series members will get phone calls around noon if race is rained out.
