car counts vs too many classes

Not dead, just watching from the shadows. Asking myself if anyone has ever paid attention to the conversations of yesteryear.

The old saying " a society that doesnt study history is doomed to repeat it" applies here in racing the same as in all aspects of life.

Must have been a $25k street stock. That's what I "heard".

And I built the street stock and it left complete so let's see that mod cost about--who cares lol

Never said it was your buddy I said it was a loud guy in the stands who acted like he knew alot He knew how to drink ill tell you that lol Homan glad you got another car and good to see you back out Bad luck what happened couple of weeks ago

I feel like im beating a dead horse here but when a bville bomber who is normally an also ran goes to Pevely an runs with the sportsmans an has one of his best payouts due to low car count theres a problem I posed a questionto a friend what if all the bomber guys from bville overwhelmed the sportsman class ya youd b racing for 8th an consider it a win but u would b makin a cpl bucks an maybe someone will wake up an realize the cars r to close im not stupid I realize a good sportsman will hands down beat a great bomber but the classes shouldn't b close enough to even consider runnin with em plain and simple u make an entry level class affordable the cars will come an support the upper level cars that being said I for one don't believe a hornet is a good teaching tool you drive a hornet for hears an sit in a rear wheel car and have to completely relearn what u know entry level needs to be rear wheel otherwise the only thing that moves up when u do is your trailer truck an toolbox

Legit speedway forrmaly west plains started a bone stock class that's goin to be good no aftermarket parts on motor no racing radiators motor and trans had to be available for that car but u can run headers and a beadlock on rt side 8 in wheels allowed with asphalt takeoffs or dot tires u can run a 9 in rear no gutting stock floors trunks no 4brls 2 brll only front wheel drive or rear its been won by a neon Monte big Mopar my friend run second in a crown Vic and was disqualified for aftermarket oil pan/no aftermarket parts on engine/ big thing is the owner has no tolerance rules are rules if u run a NASCAR theme on car its an extra $ 25 on the win

Been several but not legal and several being built there's a couple 68 Chevy pickups about done quite a few has showed but wouldn't pass tech and made them run upper class owner said he's sticking to the rules
