Congradulations Musgrave Power!

Well idk about getting off carl and brandon's stuff. They have top notch power and brandon cuts the best tires I have seen at any of the local tracks. However, i do know that my brother ran jr. flathead at the bean day race against the musgrave kid (idk his name sorry lol) and my brother would have been alot faster than him had we not made an adjustment error. He was sliding and still keeping up with him and dickerman. My brother runs an old 98 or 99' UMAX centerforce, Xcaliber power, and brandon young's ultimate cut tires. I have seen many of Kevin's motors run excellent, and the avenger chassis seem to do good (at belle rive and coulterville)....although idk about at bedrock cause i have never ran there before.

Basically my whole point in posting that mumbo jumbo is to lead to this question...... and maybe some of you guys can help me out.

If set up right, the right driver, and reasonably competitve power..... Can any chassis (offset) be as good or faster than any other chassis??? Can an avenger, umax, or anything else be made faster than phantom that seems to dominate now days?????

It seems like phantom is consistantly talked about as the best chassis.... but they also have a reputation of being finiky when it comes to tires.

Just very confused.....have bought 2 chassis in 2 years not knowing or studying up on anything. I have been competitive locally this year because of the tires and power Xcaliber has provided (not the chassis; mid 1990's bug straight rail) Now that I have studyed up on this stuff I know what chassis seem to be good. But everyone has an opinion (usually what they are riding) to tell someone what to get.

Bottom line I just want to get something and not feel burned like I was on the previous 2. Sorry about all this, I know that it is long winded, but I just needed to vent to some more experienced and knowledgable racers.

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused: Thanks, Kurt

My mistake, I confused you with someone else. I'd still think hard about switching to Musgrave for power and tires.

My best advise to you would be buy something that most people are winning on where you race the most. If Phenom's are winning most classes buy it, if Avenger is winning get that. I think some karts are better suited for different regions of the country.

Congrats Kevin!!

Althoff, you should have sent him flying. He would have done it to you!!:D

Maybe but the way the FALCON from SOUTHERN EXPRESS KART SHOP was rolling at the end he would of never caught me:rolleyes: Any questions why and what reasons things happened that nite (look back on previous post by 08Althoff) :p

In another lap it might not have matterd because the 29 of holder was flat gettin it. He started last and past a bunch of karts under green to finish third.

Kids "It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile a win is a win". But don't worry you will always have next year:D. I hate to bring up the past results but I have won the last three end of the year money races at the Rock (Stock Heavy)! That makes it a threepeat, but who's counting.

As for the guy asking about weather or not go with an Avenger or a Phantom ther is no choice for you! because when have you ever seen Excaliber at the track with you? Musgrave or his customers are always at the track you run at. so ride one or follow one (Avenger) it's your choice.

It's nice to see you have your confidence back! :p

:DHa Ha Ha Ben!!! If not mistaken this is the 1st heavy race where you have had a touch of competition:eek: The confidence is great to see back but thank the people that made it happen for you on the track .com!:rolleyes: Your ol' buddies 08 and 29!!!
