crate bolts on ebay

hey bus driver, where does/did it say in any post the guy got thrown out BEFORE he raced? or, is this just more 'he said, she said' on your part? doesn't most tech happen AFTER the race? please help me on this, beings you seem to have all the answers.

what's the difference? not much, really, except that in this case, you get on here and run your mouth about other people spewing forth b.s.,when in fact you make up b.s. yourself, and act like it's no big deal when you get called out on it.

I don't think 00BusDriver was spewing B.S. like some others.

Read the last post in this link.... http://www.stlracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120772

It clearly states that he was caught in PRE-TECH and not allowed to race!! So quit talking sh!t about something you know nothing about.

Anyone want some bolts? I still have a few sets for sale...LMFAO!!

b.s. comes in many forms, sean; you should know that,of all people. i merely called him out on something, and immediately changed his story. that is merely 1 form of b.s..... so, how is life these days for ya, sean? heehee.

Careful Midget Racer. Sean has a history of being rather uncivilized with people he has a problem with.

Thanks Sean, I knew I had read that somewhere but I couldn't find it last night.

The FACT still remains that the guy was thrown out so the tech IS working and that was the point I was trying to make!

Nobody ever disputed he was thrown out. Tech is working? That is open to debate. Like I said before, you think that was the ONLY race this guy ran with that engine this year? I doubt it. But if you think that was the only race he ever entered with that engine, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn for ya... lol

And to think i actually had 3 people send me some rather nasty messages about this post..but it seems to keep going on. There are more people around this area that feels the same about this class and its issue with cheating. I have tried to get them to realize the areas needed to work on but all i hear is..we tech them..we tech them.

From Stan Lester.

Of course we as crate engine sanctioning bodies hate to see post like this. No doubt things have gotten blown way out of proportion but to each his own.

Is there cheating going on? You bet your butt there is. I like most don't think it is as much as people would have you to believe. Especially when you see engine builders like the Sipes guy on here. If you run a crate engine sancitoning body and think there IS NOT cheating going on, you are on your way to being out of business.

Obviously Mr. Sipes is upset about not being the authorized builder in his area. (Pacific Coast). As he was told when he requested being the builder there, Mr Ireland, the former director on the Pacific Coast Region was the one that had 'control' over who the engine builders were and or weren't. It was not the decision of the corporate office. So the guy he is speaking for is the same guy that would not allow it.

FASTRAK has invested tons of money in tools to protect against cheating as much as we can. We helped to invent the cam doctor that can be done through a lap top and profile the cam just like it was sitting on the work bench. All without taking it out of your engine. Thereby saving the teams money. We made the investment so your job was eaiser and you weren't forced to tear your engine apart. We have a 'host' of trick tools available for weekly tracks and regions. Like anyone else out tech man can't travel for free and or work for free. Its cheap but not free. The track and or region does have to pay the expenses if they want the National Tech Man. We as a company have gone to weekly tracks that were 'offended' when we just walked up and started teching his weekly cars. So all they have to do is ask.

Pacific Group saying everyone else had 50HP more? Surely not. BEFORE saying that, they might want to know the TOP 3 were BRAND NEW OUT of the box engines from GM. As was that of both of the RCR teams. If you take time to go to www.trackforums.com and then to the Wythe Raceway site, then to photos of Grand Nationals, you can plainly see what the difference was from the dosposition of the cars. Look at the Blue 8I car then you tell me why things looked so unfair. You look at how far that car is rolling over and even the left front in the air. You can run a big 1/2 mile high banked like that and be successful. There were guys from Oregon that were fast. Some were not. There were also some teams from the Great Lakes, Northeast and Southeast that weren't fast as well. EVERYONE COULDN'T WIN. Teams from the SE and the NE were tied for first going into night 3. So the 'implied prejudice' of Mr. Sipes just was not there.

Trading engine programs. Good program but one whereby the liability is just too high. What if the 'trader' engine blew and cost someone the National Championship? NO doubt there would be a lawsuit and there you go. Round and round. Too many things could happen.

In the final event of the Grand Nationals the top 4 teams engines wre torn down completely. All the way to the cranks being weight. There were several engine builders there to make sure no one teched their own engines. Brad Hibbard, Tech man from the NE Region, Rick Ellison National Tech Director, Bill Hendrens of Hendrens Racing Engines, Bill Emerson local Wythe Raceway engine builder and Shane James- tech man Lavonia and Hartwell Speedways. I would think getting ANYTHING by all of those guys would have been quite a task.

REMEMBER; THE TOP 3 WERE BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX GMPP CRATE ENGINES. AS WERE THOSE OF BOTH RCR TEAMS.

I can remember when I as as race would get beat, I never blamed the other guy. I would go up to them and tell them they better do their homework because I was going home to do mine and many times I found something I needed to work on and the team that beat me was not my problem. I was usually my problem.

Is there cheating going on? I think so. We have caught a few and sent them packing. We confiscate their illegal parts, fine them a $1000 and suspend them for 365 days for ANY FASTRAK weekly or regional event.

There are FASTRAK tech seminars that everyone is invited to at our banquet in Nasvhville TN. It only cost $50 to come for NON FASTRAK Tracks and nothing for FASTRAK Weekly Sanctioned Tracks.

Thanks for listening;

Stan Lester

Again--Hi Mr. Lester! Also again--I am not upset about anything to do with me personally or my business. I have not implied any prejudice. This all started when the Oregon racers felt some other motors seemed to run MUCH DIFFERENTLY than thier own. By thier own observations not mine. Thats what pushed me to comment on this site in the first place. Asked how could this be ?? Then all kinds of comments regaurding "blueprinting", fake or purchased sealing bolts, and possible illigalties came to light in this forum. Concerns from others not myself. Was just stating observations and asking questions. I have put some of my own thoughts out there about crate engines because I am not a big fan of monpoly. I have not defamed anyone, suggested preferential treatment, or implied anyone was above another. I dont speak for others either but I will repeat thier comments if done in writing on a forum such as this. Also it would be Stipe not Sipe and all I am curious about is what is or isnt going to be allowed with Fastrak crate engine racing so that the people here in Oregon can be up to speed on anything that may or may not occur.

FASTRAK does not make the engine technical manual. That is made solely by General Motors. The GMPP technical or spec manual can be purchased at any GMPP parts dealer.

They are the people that make them and we follow their specs, not ours.

Please email for any furthur comments. sl@fastrakracing.com I am on vacation.

We all realize Fastrak is following the GM crate parts book for minumum specs and what is allowed during rebuilding. It is really immaterial--the question is does Fastrak really want this so called "blueprinting" to minumum specs as it drives up costs which is totally opposite of what crate engines are supposed to accomplish?
