hey crash have you ever been to mt.veron ill . if you think its a 1/4 mile track remind me to never go racing with you. but clay county is bigger and until brownstown closed down our cars over there stayed looking pretty good.
 
HMMM click on the illinois tracks link over on the side bar and look where it says Mt. Vernon. Seems like its a 1/4 mile high banked oval. And it says clay county is 1/3 mile track.
 
by the way it also says bond county is a 1/4 mile track ask anyone whos raced both if they are even close to the same size.
 
i filmed p-ville myself and sent copies to several people down that way...you ain't telling me or joe anything...all over someone isn't in front of and none of their cars lasted the show...not taking anything away from the eilers they are favorite competition to race, no matter the track....a mad fast set of cars!!

this was supposed to be a conversation about single vs doc cars, everyone is allowed their opinion. you seem to have a personal problem with joe..why don't you take it up with him personally instead of constantly singling him out on here

i dint single him out but is is so full of that tribion its pathetic and if its the fastest car ever why did he want to sell it. and if it was used to street race like that little story said on his web page it aint stock cause i used to street race when i owed a mustang and noone races on the street for money or what ever in a stock car and wins...ganted aftermaket flywheel intake injecters computerheader something isnt stock ... not saying he put them onther but the guy who used to own it whould have.

yell i had my hands full at pink vill thats why i was fastest time , won heat , trophey dash ,and featur and lead every lap of all of them if thats what you call having my hands full so be it ! the eilers are my friends!!! and i would never say anything bad about any of them.

i cant say which is the best , but its not hard to figure out !!! i dont think there much differnce in the two !!!!!!!

the eiler boys are very fast and got my most respect!!!!!!!!

but on a big track none of them can beat the tiburon !!!!

Lol. I don't think the escorts were in charge at C-town at the end of the year last year. I think we sort of put a stop to that Jesse...lol

Was just giving you crap Joe. I think either car (SOHC or DOHC) if you put the right person behind them can be put up front. But me personally, I prefer my Z-24 cavalier, which is a Twin cam.
 
I always thought my dohc escort was pretty fast, won some races with it. but i dont recall ever really having a competitive sohc run against me though..
 
twin cams aspirate better.......faster throttle response.....which was the whole idea of creating a twin cam motor in the first place. i think it depends on what is done to the engine, chassis/tire setup and the driver. i raced a single cam honda and won a lot of races against ALL kinds of 4 cylinder cars.......and didn't cheat(a whole lot). mostly because the car turned VERY good and could be raced on the bottom.
 
I won a feature at the beginning of the year in my SOHC Honda CRX at Clay County Speedway. But you would have to be an idiot to try and tell me that a sohc is faster then a dohc car. If you can really show me a motor in which the sohc makes more torque and or horsepower then the dohc in stock application with the same displacement, compression, etc etc, then i will let you hot lap my modified sometime.
 
I AGREE.....BY AND LARGE THE TWIN CAM ENGINE WILL MAKE MORE POWER AND HAVE BETTER THROTTLE RESPONSE OFF THE CORNERS. THERE ARE WAYS TO MAKE THE SOHC MORE COMPETITIVE.
