Fastrak Points as of 8/25

Might I chime in here as it seems as if Midway kinda ypset the traveling apple carthere.
First we wanted Fastrak here for our season ending event-because-the series provide a strong field of cars and a level playing field for its racers for a decent price to the track,The dirthound was a hit with the kids and adults,I enjoyed it and as an announcer and PR rep for the track,it made me happy that we recieved positive feedback from our customers and fans about the series. The 4 wide salute was very nice(remember I have been announcing 20 plus seasons) and it was different than most and the crowd and our staff enjoyed it,plus the tennis ball toss is different and very creative.A wish our track was either closer to St Louis or that Fastrak was closer to us,because in all my yesrs of announcing, that was perhaps the closest latemodel finish I have ever witnessed and I feel that this series is going in the right direction.
The Ferguson's were wonderful to work with-they allowed the track and the series to work together.I hope I was able to help the drivers by getting the best possible deals with the area motels.
On our Sept 24th Fall Brawl-we will be running A features for SuperStocks,Modifieds,305 Winged Sprints,Factorystocks,Bombers, and Mini-stocks along with heats for the Fastrak LateModels, pole dash and a 25 lap feature.
In that last race only 1 caution, the comp director was upstairs overseeing, but my scorers were handling all of it along with our flagman. All qualifying heats for our normal classes will be on Friday Night.Trust me the LateModels won't be lasttttttttttt.
I am truly sorry if this add to the schedule is causing some grief, but we at Midway enjoyed the series, and to end your season we wanted them to be a part of it.I had already looked at the schedule. You gave our little track alot of positive publicity about the hospitality, well the feeling is mutual as we got back as much in return with great attitudes from the drivers,a very cooperative series officials,a good turnout of cars, fans and drivers.
Please don't take the added date in wrong way, because I personally called the Fergusons about this date. The answer I recieved was please let me talk to our drivers first before I answer. Now that is something very different nowadays for a Series to do.
Thank You;
Ronnie Williams-PR And Announcer-LebanonMidwaySpeedway

Ronnie, no one was complaining about how the track and fans treated the racers. The problem is that the cost of gas and hotel room and the $65 entry comes to much more than $200 to start and now we are adding expense to the racers that they were not counting on.

I will add that everyone was very well treated at Midway and liked the track. It is just a shame we can not be closer to them, my brothers, cousin and Uncle all liked the track. It is too bad we can not get another date half way to break up the trip a little.

Subject to change does not mean at the expense of the racers and changes that seem to happen all the time in the schedule and rules, maybe you missed that somewhere as well?

We all know that there will be a load of cars very soon, and if things are not changed they will end up running elsewhere next season. I keep warning you guys and you do not listen.

I still have not heard what race this Lebanon race will replace and what the current schedule is now?

Oh, come on Only One....you of all people should know how much is really involved in putting shows on and how things can change. Yep, it's aggravating but as many have said, this is the very first season and it has been an uphill battle the whole way. Stick with it and help make it a success. The changes are not at the expense of the drivers, they are for the benefit of the drivers. As for my brothers only catering to a couple of drivers and the top six...that just plain ole isn't true. I've been there since the beginning and I can say flat out that they have not and never will. If they didn't care about the guys further down in points, why in the heck would they double the payout at Lebanon for them? I believe they are doing that to help offset some of the EXPENSE associated with the longer haul for the guys not in the top six. At no time have they EVER not had the best interests of all the drivers at heart. They treat the last place driver just a good as they do the one in first place. They go out of their way for everyone involved in this series. The 11w isn't in the top six, far from it actually... and IT WILL be racing for the remainder of this season and IT WILL race next season as well. ;) So will many others not in the top six. There are a lot of things to be ironed out, they have always said that they would make mistakes and that this first year would be a learning experience for them as well. Give them some credit for trying and some slack for doing what they have to to gain the drivers and the series recognition. If you have a problem, concern or complaint, pick up the phone and call them. They will listen to everything you have to say and give you any explanation for anything that you would require. As for Lebanon, I know it's a long haul but I think each and every driver should take it as a big compliment that they want each and every one of you back. Not just the top six. It is because of each and every driver putting on great racing and showing such good sportsmanship that they have asked for your return. Plain and simple...it really has nothing to do with Scott or Kevin's part in the series...it's all about the drivers. You all are the ones that had those fans stirred up and cheering you on and asking for you to come back.:)

Yes the track and people were very very nice.Don't worry Only One there is time for the schedule to change.Maybe some of the right people will ask for it to change.

11w, Team Ward :) By the way, I'm an avid admirer of your whole family and their ability behind the wheel of a car. Back in the stone ages, I can remember being in grade school with your brother and him talking about racing back then. :D Your other brother coached my son's football team and was expecially nice to him since he was the smallest fella on the team.

I'm not attempting to get into a bash fest with you or anyone else. I'm just hoping for some patience and understanding for my brothers, Scott and Kevin who really are doing the best they can for the benefit of all.

Have a nice evening,

Lori Ward

I am asking for the 4th time, what is now the schedule for the reast of the season since we now have the race at Lebanon? Are we racing at Greenville on Oct 15?

Lori, maybe Scott and Kevin need to bring someone in to help them more so we can get all the problems solved. I admit, there are not loads of problems but the racers in the series do seem to have problems with the way rules seem to change and the schedule as well. Calling does not seem to get it done since we get the we are trying speech.....Run this by the book and no grey area for anything. Scoring at Greenville still needs fixed and possibly get a flagman that is doing the whole series so we are doing it the same way every race.

I have said from day one that if you need help to call, you have never called so that means you think you know what you are doing, so now show us you know what is needed here and start fixing the problems instead of ignoring them. Keep everyone informed and I mean everyone.

can't get right said:
The reason your ready to go back is because you don't have any expensives.I don't know about anyone else but I tried of them catering to just a couple of drivers. You guys need to remember that if there are 20 cars runing, that there are also 20 drivers. If you guys don't also look out for the guys running from sixth on back you can start runinng the rest of the shows with six cars.

I agree with 13racefan .. although if he wins again this time I staying on the track and waiting for a backflip off of the car door .lol .. As far as the drive goes ? it is a long way but the respect and the reactions from everybody at the track makes it worth the effort .I'M in I'll be racn' #U2

Sean2 , they will not say if the KLMS will be rescheduled, or if we will have a race Oct 15 like I have asked 5 times.

The problem is not people being nice but the indirection. It is time to get everything straight.

Calling does nothing but get lip service, let's get this straight here so we can get some answers.

Will the Scoring be fixed at Greenville?

What is the current schedule?

There will be more questions once these are answered.

jumpinjackdw, I believe you are uninformed as well, because the last schedule put out had Oct. 15 at Greenville on it.
