The Dick Family in central IL. Darrell races sportsman, Timmy runs a sportsman and CHris who runs a Late Model at Macon Speedway. The Sowers family of Ross Sowers and Terry Sowers and I din`t see the Billy Moyer Family on here anywhere did I miss them? I also Just thought of Art Lynch and Artie Lynch and then "The One arm Bandit" Don Carter and his son and his grandson. My dad always said Don was the best driver he ever raced against and would never have been beaten by anyone if the S.O.B had 2 arms he was and still is a great guy and I miss him at the track

Rodney, I remember Don Carter....long long time ago....

And cant forget Les Tiger Snow, and his grandson ....

And the Dicks.... Timmy, Dad and Uncle Chris and Darrell and yes, Grandpa Fran Dick.... I don't think Fran's brother ever raced, I knew him from high school..... his name was Harry..... no joke.... NOT Harold, but Harry!!!
While the fairboard members denied it at the time, the current Farmer City Raceway upper scorer's tower on top of the grandstand just suddenly appeared the next Friday after Fran put the front of his old orange #22 in the old scorers building which is now just the flagstand....

My dad Lyle Sinn ran sportsman with Allied in the sixties & seventies, then modfieds in the early eigthies. He helped Larry Jones and his brother Mike Sinn get started they both ran sportsman and modifieds in the late seventies & eigthies. He also helped Marc McClintock get started with his first sportman car. My uncle Mike was instrumental in getting me started racing in the early and mid eigthies in modifieds. Then again in mid ninties I ran modifieds and in 2007 & 2008 I helped my younger brother Jason get into modifieds. And last year I got back into modifieds and looking forward to this season. Some things just never get out of your blood.

Greg Sinn 14s

Wow, I forgot all about the Sinn boys racing.

While he didnt race my grandfather was intrumental is my dads start in racing.
Larry Jones #31 Modified
Mike "Wahoo" Jones #17 Sportsman
And sometime in the future my oldest son Riley has indicated he wants to race like his papa did. So we may have a 4th generation of our family involved in racing in 8 1/2 years.

Dion Sale (Our Dad) & Chris Sale - Our Dad was a motocross champ @ BET many times over. Cody Sale, Chris's son raced Motorcycles @ BET a couple of years ago and wants to run go-karts this year.

Al Boyce (Our Step-Dad) raced my pure stock a few times after I decided that I didn't like it. :)

Tommy & Tom - Tommy said his Dad raced "when they were slug bugs" - LOL. He guesses around 30+ years ago. I didn't know that about my father-in-law until today.

The 3 Cockrums

Cliff Cockrum was one of the best Sprint car drives ever. He had many track championships at tracks in Il, In, and Mo. He ran a sprint car in Flordia back in the early 70's called the "Gold Duce" were he was injured very badly in a fire but he kept on racing for years. You could almost bet that Cliff or Chuck Amati would win in Sprint racing in our area back in the day before the Kinsers.
Shane Cockrum has ran go karts, mini sprints, modifides, late models, and he is currently racing midgets. Shane is an up and coming star in our area and maybe headed for the big time in racing soon.
Brian has raced go karts, mini sprints, modifides, and late models were he did very well.
Cliff and Brain have both passed on to be with the lord, so we all need to be behind Shane in his quest to become one of the best race car drivers from our area.
