Fayette County Speedway (Brownstown, IL) 2011 preliminary season information

i do agree with the stock situation but the thing with it is would you rather run with 10 locked cars and finish 11th to them not sayin that can happen but would you rather just have all cars locked? and idk to me i think it will save clutches also i burnt up one in one race then never had a problem after a new clutch and being locked

I dont understand Why everyone for the most part on This thread is complaing. Every track has to decided to let the front lock differencials to try and increase car counts it stinks that It had to come to This but hey as a promoter u have to do what ya gotta do to get cars. I am mutual with the whole thing because i ran all year without one and did fine. I know It may seem unfair, but hey the way i hear locking ur car isnt to hard to do unless u dont have the time because its def Not a cost issue. So instead of complaining Just go out and race by the way u dont have to worry about rob shaw going to brownstown he isnt racing there only on big shows :)

I've been fighting this same fight for many years now. For the guys and girls that do not have the resource's to make these modifications; I believe the class should stay stock. But there is an evolution proses that happens with every class that we don't always have control of. I know that all promoters involved have had this issue heavy on their minds for some time now. But don't forget that when most promoters were lazy, there was at least one that stood firm and did his part concerning tech. That was Charlie and his track Fayette Co. Speedway! I believe everyone should state their concerns but while doing so please don't forget to thank Charlie for giving us another place to race....

Rob Shaw

PS. If anyone has any questions or concerns regarding locking your diff please don't hesitate to get a hold of me and I'll try to help as much as I can. See everyone at the banquet.

I think it is the intention of the class to be affordable (not free) No one in the stands wants to watch abunch of $500.00 pieces of crap drive around a dirt track like idiots. You spend 2-3k on a front wheel drive car you will have a car that will be in the front every night. When compaired to any other motorsport that is affordable. Attention to detail will get you to the front, but it will take some effort and some money. I dont know any of you all that have posted on this thread (exept my o buddy shaw, who doesnt know him), so Im not calling anyone out. But at the track most of the people that are complaining about the cheaters (guys out front) are the guys that take their car home and leave it on the trailer all week, bring it back to the track, unload it and patch up what ever they tore up the week before, they are running the same oil that the car came with and spent about ten minutes painting numbers on the car. Effort doesnt cost anything, most parts are available from a salvage yard for little to nothing. I believe spend a little money, keep it legal, make it a race car and race. Its nice to be respected by the guys driving the 50k dollar cars and it just takes alittle effort.

One of the most intelligent posts on here so far! I agree 110%.

Man if i posted that they would be all over me lol.you are right about it and people want to see a race start to finish. Some of this guy's have no pride in there cars. heck some are not even safe to load on the trailer let alone race. JMO

agree with you ppanther granted my car doesnt look the best i still take it home check over things every week also the reason why i dont have to much in mine is cause the car was givin to me my dad built the cage professionally and also i really didnt need anything else the car was fast to begim with

I think this is the point everyone is trying to make. Nobody said they couldnt afford to run a locker. Its the fact that UMP has not passes in their rules the use of lockers but yet all the tracks are saying you can run them. So in other words if UMP is at the Fayette County racetrack Charlie said we will not be awarded the UMP points. Also, you mentioned about keeping it legal....thats the whole uproar is that if UMP hasnt approved this how is it legal????????
