flag man

keep it up john

Everyone is doggin' on the flagman all of a sudden, maybe if there wasn't so much beatin' and bangin' ALL the time he may catch everything. No one is perfect and you can't see the whole track at once it's common sence he's not gonna catch everything. I think your doin' a great job John keep it up! If these guys would chill and stop thinking they were gonna get the checkered on the first lap, run a race instead of a demo derby he wouldn't have to worry bout the black flag every race.

Apparently 97sprintcarfan seems to think there is only going to be good racing where the 97 is....I don't think thats the case....the last couple weeks at SFCR has been a lot of good racing and seen different drivers running in the front instead of the same ones. If there is only good racing where the 97 is then follow the 97 car.

Amen, I'm glad to hear that he will no longer be at SFCR. Maybe now I will go back to watch some races . I didn't think the day would ever come that he would stop racing there. As you can see I don't like him, by the way he drives and other things he has done.

Anyone that throws as big of a fit as the Worleys...OR Brent Thompson should NOT be racing. Racing is supposed to be fun...not a cry baby competition! But nice try running in the back at Tri-City! It was fun for me to watch! Now, what was this post started as "Flag Man?", now he's more entertaining than what the racing at Farmington has turned into! Not many will lean over the edge of the flag stand and get THAT much into a race! So GREAT job to the flag man, John Bell.

Gotta agree with the Flagman's enthusiasm. Haven't seen anyone so into it since Paul "Sleepy" Boren at Fredericktown back in the 50's and 60's. Course he used to be down on the track!

As I said-Flagman rings Bell-got to like him, puts all into it.

Check out the animal shelter, they need you!

Let's see if I have this right....

modifiedgirl2 has made eleven whole posts and been a member for little over a year on this forum and now she wants to control it and tell us what and what not to post and where to post it.

I think you could say almost every popular subject on this forum gets a little off the subject.

I've been here for close to seven years and it's always been like that. But if you would like we could petition to get your permission before we post on any subject.

As for the sprints being most popular or whatever .... I've never seen half the grandstands leave before the sprint feature unlike other classes.

I respect all the classes, but please ...... get the chip off your shoulder.

Whhhaaaaaa poor modifieds get no respect .... everyone thinks it's all about the sprints .... wwwwhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaa

LMFAO!!!:D Sorry Mr. Goodwrench....That's telling it like it is. The sprints have been the main attraction at SFCR for as long as I can remember.

The stands do empty after the sprint race, that is a fact. I don't care that it happens, just doesn't speak well of the type of race fans at SFCR. If that is all they are there for, so be it. They paid their money and can do what they want. Personally I don't like the sprints. I pay my money and walk away when the sprints run. So I reiterate, she told it like it is! I don't care if someone has been on here for 7 years or 7 days, it's an open forum, so say what ya want. Anybody don't like what I have to say can kiss my azz!

If people want to talk about sprints is it that hard to start another post??

My previous comment was intended as a joking matter due to the fact this post got so off the subject. It's like your not entiltled to your opinion on here, without someone freaking out on you!

Get over it - sounds like your the one with the chip on your shoulder opnwhlmnd! I just have some dirt I need to brush off!!!

And if you have such little interest in the mods why are you even commenting or reading a post about the mods?

It almost sounds like you get enjoyment out of the fans leaving after the sprints - how is that fair to these mod guys who bust a** all week to race Sat. night. or the track owners trying to pull a crowd in and keep them there.

IN MY OPINION the sprints are not fun to watch - it's like there is no racing to it. one guy gets out front and usually stays there the whole race. Maybe not in WOO but yes boring at SFCR!!!

First I seperated your ramblings so they are a little easier to read instead on running on and on.

Your response starts again with you trying to tell people where to post things. Again we could can try to make you the moderator if that would make you happy or feel like forum queen. Then you could move posts to their correct spots.

I just love how when some people get called out on a statement the attitude changes and now it was just a "joke". When you use an exclamation point after a sentence, that indicates you feel rather strongly about your statement instead of joking.

Me with a chip on my shoulder? I don't recall saying anything bad about any class. In fact, in my post I said "I respect all classes".

While it is a known fact that cab cars aren't my favorite, I having many friends who race them. My long time sponsor and next door neighbor has a son with a modified. One of my good friends in racing has a modified and he often starts a "hurricane". I enjoy watching them race. However, you are the one that started with the class bashing with the sprint comment.

As for me getting enjoyment out of fans leaving after a race. No enjoyment, I was just pointing out a fact since you bashed .... or joked as you know call it ... about the sprints.

And this statement my surprise you. I AGREE WITH YOU!!!! (See I felt strongly about that statement, hence exclamation point ... but I reserve the right to say I was joking later) Watching sprint cars at SFCR is boring. It's mostly a follow the leader type deal.

Ok ... your turn .... isn't this fun?

In response to gofastleftturn5--------I completely agree! Glad to see Worley go, Ive heard and seen enough to know it was time for him to go!!
I am a sprint and mod fan but I watch all the racing. There are good races each week, some not so good as others. Everyone has their picks but you should all try to watch each week, you never know what you might see.
As for the flag guy--I think he is doing a great job!!
JMO!

Early in the season people were saying how great it was to have a new good flagman. Now a couple unpopular flags/no flags and suddenly his name is mud.
I think he is doing a good job. He comes as close to controlling them as anyone can. It is a tough job and with all the action he'll miss some calls. He seems to enjoy the job way too much not to be fair. (and I bet he is getting rich off the deal too :)).

Everyone get mad at the flag man, hes NOT the only one out there that makes calls. Theres 3 other men out there who can make a black flag call also. I think John has done a great job, there seems to be much less beating that last year ( yes i know there are some exceptions.) But all the track officals have done a better job of stopping the beating and banging for the most part.

I Would Have To Agree With You Jeremy. The Flag Man Is Doing A Great Job. The Way I Look At It He Wears A Headset To Communicate With The Other Officials. He Might Not Be Making The Black Flag Call Himself. Just Because He Is The Only One On The Track With The Black Flag. Everybody PointS The Finger At Him. Keep Up The Good Work John!
