? for i-55

I don't think some people think about where a lot of these Late Model and Modified drivers like Randy Korte and Mike Harrison came from. THE LOWEST SUPPORT CLASS! Without classes like Bomber's and now 4-cyl's; you wouldn't be able to watch your favorite Late or Mod guys. Won't be long before the top driver's will come from the 4-cyl's. Then what are you gonna say!!

Why dog the pro4s on most nights they put on some of the best shows. And why dog Lenny for bringing out his sportsman/sportmod. He might not have the best equipment but at least hes havin fun and not getting in anyones way.

Give the 200 to the latemodels or mods? Are you kidding? What good would that do? I talked to a pro4 guy last week and from what he told me was once you get going the cost to keep one up (if you don't bent it up) is cheap. If your all mighty late models were so big and cool why do they need the support classes to get by? Soon they will price there self right out of local racing and your support classes (low budget classes) will be the show like it should be. Those guys have more love for the sport than most. Bryan's got a test session in a pro4 coming up later this summer so hopefully if all go's well we can add another driver to the class next season or two. Out of all the people to run your mouth about you go and pick Fireball? Man you are more stupid than anyone I know. And I know some really stupid people. Isn't that right Hound? :) LOL just kidding.

I wish they paid $50 to win when i raced them. Hell I would have been happy winning a free pit pass.

We spent $75-100 to go to the races, and win, almost every week. The ONLY race that paid was the Fall Dirt Nationals. I finished 2nd which paid $100? I think.

I don't see the pro-4 class going anywhere, as it has become the cash cow for all of the local tracks. These drivers, their crew, and their fans all pay the same amount to enter the pits/stands as everyone else and get a tiny fraction of the purse.

The problem with the pro-4 class is that it has also now out-priced itself, just like every other class in the history of dirt track racing. What started out 10+ years ago as a couple of guys that went out and picked up a car at the junk yard, slapped a roll cage it in and raced...are long gone. If you want a fun and competitive class, you need to head back to it's roots (which will never happen now). Put (and enforce) a $1k claim on these cars. Force the guys to spend within reason and make it economical again.

I had a pro-4 for a while, and I told everyone I'll never be a good redneck...I just can't justify spending $3k on a competitive car to go win $100. And that's if you WIN. This class has become incredibly competitive...which in turn forces guys to spend more money and find new ways to win.

I know a few tracks up the purse on this class, with some offering $1k to win, but I can't attest to what Pevely has done. The issue seems to come up every year. We all know the problems, but no one has the solution.

A good man with a laptop can make these cars go faster than any bolt-on parts, just for the most bang for the buck (cheap&easy)??? Correct?..:)

...Seriously??? Can you say sh!t boxes... They are junk yard cars, a class used just to help promoters make pit pass revenues to pay the bills... Take the $50 and add that to the mods. That's MY opinion...
And what do you race? Or are just some idiot that needs to go say this to the face of some of these drivers. These guys do put on a good show most nights and if it weren't for these guys we wouldn't have but ten late models cause the tracks wouldn't be able to pay them the purse they pay now. So dude if you really wanna go, then let's go. Private me a message and let's go!!!

My observation is that you and wanna go or just two stupid idiots that are hiding behind the computer. Both you jerks can private me a message and we can set up a man to idiot meeting at a track. I got a lot of frustration I need to take out and you two stupid azz es is who need to help me out.

ok ppl I wasnt tryin to start a pzz match on here it was just a simple ? about the payouts and we have ppl on here talkin out of there rear ends about gettin rid of our class give the money to the other classes yada yada yada. Come on ppl the hornet/pro4 class has been a really good and fun supporting class for a long time now and I know alot of the upper class drivers would agree that its nice to have us to give them time to work on there stuff and the track always draws moisture thats why they run us either first or 2nd. Our payouts have not been the very best for a long time and thats why alot of tracks are losing out on the car counts with our class because weather u finish first to last u should get paid something. It costs us just as much money to get to the track pay for pit passes eat food and all the other things that go along with it.And yes ppl it does cost a little more than 1k to build a car anymore. car is normally 1k itself drivers seat belts and net about 400 dollars rollcage around 500 or 600 and then decent tires around 200. cars arent as cheap to come by anymore ppl dont just give them away like they did 10 yrs ago. We all know there are gonna be haters out there or wanna bes but always will know they will be nobodys with a dream to go fast lol. So before u haters get on here talkin crap think about the consequnces and repacusions of your big fat mouths cause you all look and sound dum dum stupid dum.

I just bought my new car to build for next year for $300 and one of my old cages from Justin Suhre for $350. I should have around $1300-$1500 in it when I'm done, and it will be very competitive

Wow I agree the guy was way outta line with all his comments about pro-4's, but Ptony39 can we give the tough guy thing a rest? You are really gonna meet someone off a racing forum to fight them over something they posted to someone else? I dunno they did seem like an idiot, but the way you type and messages like you just left maybe the idiot is in your mirror? Best thing to do to guys that post a message like he did to the pro-4 guys and to Lenny is ignore it. He was looking to get a rise outta people and it worked, just ignore him and watch him move on..

Yawannago is not ray Walsh or none of the walsh's just to let u know and his son has a pro 4 he wouldn't talk bad about that class.

Fayette County give out a nice plaque with your winner pic on it when ya win. Not sure if it cost the track more than a trophy, but it looks really nice.
