From a Fans view point what is the biggest change you would like to see at Belle-Clair Speedway for

Maybe add one more big money late model race to the season. I would like to see the late model/midget show again in the 2012 season. Fountain Ski at the concession stand would be nice.

i vote for the chicken king to take over the food at the track

He is too busy pitting for Hammerle and sitting in the stands with me. However, it could more money in his wallet and more sponsorship for Mike. Maybe some more new tires????

Agreed!

If I was speaking from a fans point?
I would like them to have some big bbq pits going cooking like Fayette Co. does.
Lower beer price where a guy can get at least 2 for $5.
Hold races to a time limit.
Have a rule that says..... If you are put out of a heat race for 2 unassisted cautions. The rest of the night you're on a one unassisted caution rule.
If you jump the initial start of the race(front row) you become the 2nd row.
If you are the caution on lap one you go to the back just like on all other laps.TCS does both of these rules and it works great.

Start using the black flag for rough over aggressive driving. You'll piss some off but eventually everyone will get the message!!!!! When word gets out that crap isn't being tolerated maybe more cars will show!

Agreed! Would love to see this happen

how about doing something about the official(s) that give the impression that they have favorites on the track......I saw way too many boggus calls from turns 3&4 last year from both in the stands and from the infield.....I have been an official and I know that it is not hard to be one and to make a call.....make the right call and if your buddy gets mad at you .....who cares......if he is a real friend he will understand .....

I think this awesome that the promoter is asking for the fans opinions. That's giving it an honest effort!!

I think the main thing would be the food. High costs and poor food are definately a downfall.

I am not sure on the costs of the beer since i dont drink but if they are over priced then i agree that the price needs to be lower. It would be neat to see the beer cart back also. I remember that from when i was a kid. Keeps people in the seats so they dont miss any racing.

I totally understand the lines and what not at the concessions and the length of time it takes to sometimes get you stuff. It does get pretty rediculous sometimes. Although this isnt a excuse for it i believe they have there hands tied in a way because of the space. With Belleville being such a small facility there isnt alot of room like other tracks have to put in railing or to redesign. I do believe though that making a order and pick up window would help out some.

We all know the bathrooms are pretty nasty, small, and anything you can think of. Here again the space is limited and with the current location and age, etc. it would be tough to make bigger or more acessible. Plus i think that the fairgrounds would have to be the ones to make any of them changes. So we all just have our hands tied with that.

To the comment about getting rid of the "junk a $ $ bleachers". Give me a break here. There is absolutely nothing wrong at all with this bleachers. They are very sound, safe, and in overall great shape.

I do like some of them ideas that Pitdrifter gave for ways of running the show. I think they would work great. The only thing that i would have to add to this would be double file restarts. Put the leader out front by themselves and then line them up double file behind that. Give them 2 or 3 chances to not have issues before going back to single file. Definately be more entertaining for the fans. Some drivers wont like this but i think most will. I would be all for it. It would help people greatly that are midpack or towards the back in features. Granted you probably wouldnt win if u are back that far but atleast you would have the chance to salvage a decent finish. Right now if you are restarting 10th or so you are almost a straightaway behind by the time the green flies. Then if you are in the back you are almost instantly getting lapped. I think it is worth a shot. Cant hurt to try in my opinion.

Overall though as other have stated this is great that Donnie has asked the fans opinions on things. Shows that he cares about his track and the way things are run. Thumbs up to Donnie. Hope things work out great for you in 2012.

Thanks Donnie...

Front straight, the food concession should swap with the beer sales. More room in front and possible 2 cashers or food to grab and go. Beer line moves faster. The congestion at the food concession is a bottle neck. At least paint a line to follow.

Having the Kings' Fried Chicken would be brilliant... imagine bringing a bucket of chicken up to the stands and watchin' racin' couldn't get any better than that. What a party. But picking up bones under the grandstands would be a drag!

If you opened up the wire fence gate behind turn 4 grandstands and have a mobile concession trailer park (blocking the gate opening) for food, desert, etc. Co-op sales with the track.

The grandstands are a big part of the appeal of B-C. Few tracks come near to giving you the action up close and personal.

The driver who causes the yellow on the first lap, should be put to the back. To not do this, it only encourage drivers to drive over their heads on the first lap knowing they will get their spot back.

One night B-C should have "Roman Colosseum Night". When a yellow comes out... the official holds a flag over the cars involved in the incident and the loudest roar (thumbs down) from the crowd gets the penally. Now that's fan participation, Ha!

Run the Pro-4 clock-wise one night.

Promote weddings at the track... (more new fans)

Revenge race. Have track officials race pro-4's with the modifieds. (this is a Joke)

Text racing, have drivers text (all same text) someone in the stands while racing. The driver who completes the text with the most laps wins. (Then gets a ticket for texting and driving.)

I have more...

I agree the concessions are BAD and the BEER overpriced but this is a fan poll how bout a fan and drivers party at the end of the season like a pig roast and dj after the last race to show us as fans your thanks for supporting the track. I have been going to BC for 25 years and love every race. Also you need to do something with the inside wall somebody is going to get hurt there are parts of it only 18in high. Doniie you are a blessing to the track and have kept racing at BC for that we appreciate it! oh yea WATERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Is there anyway to fence the restroom that's outside the track so you can get to it from inside the track?...then the waiting lines wouldn't be so long.

I could see them getting some of those temp barriers like at movie theaters that go along the back of the grandstands for people to form a line for the concession stands. I think that would work well. The way it has been people stand in kind of a group no uniform line at all.

The king could just bring over some chicken when he comes. Just like a catered event he has....lol

But I think grilling would be awesome too. That way people know its fresh and even if some aren't hungry, they get to smellin' that umm umm they'll be down!!!!!

Affordability is key in my opinion. I know times are tough. They are for everyone involved. But raising prices isn't the way to making the money needed to be made. When cars aren't selling dealers don't raise the price they offer rebates and incentives. Oil prices go down when the demand is low, up when its high. ect...ect...

Run a weekly special on a concession item???? Say 1/2 price.

When its over 95 degrees offer a $2 discount maybe instead of canceling??? and have water discounted buck a bottle???

Sell cheap advertising for anywhere there is space. It doesn't just have to be on the billboards in the turns. Put in front of the urinals and backs of stall doors. Put up leaflet holders that can be changed week to week. People will read it while they are relieving themselves....lol...... In the walk ways under the grandstands.....everywhere!!!!!! Key word? Affordable!!!! So much per # of nights they want it there!

Just a thought!!!!!

How about hotdog, popcorn, and soda vendors walking around the stands like the beer cart guy? Concession line problem solved. Have the kids work for tips and waitress pay. The more they sell the more they make.

I was thinking how about removing the inside wall and putting yuke tires up or something so if someone wrecks there is a place for other cars to go besides INTO THE WRECK. I think it would also make for better side by side racing and more 3 wide racing. better entertainment for the fans in the stands.

Tires are not the answer for preventing crashes. My ex-wife was racing a SCCA Mazda RX7 SSA at Sears Point (Inineon Raceway,) Sonoma, CA. When she dropped a wheel off the track at turn 10 (high speed right hand kink) it pulled her off the course and at a angle to a large tire wall. When the car hit the tire wall it vaulted the car into 1 1/2 end over end flips, then barrel rolled 2 more times. The Mazda was destroyed she had a minor skull fracture (cracked the helmet, Bell took it to inspect). PS. She continued the season with a new car and won the championship in her rookie year, 1980.

I agree. Maybe something like Macon has. Would also make it easier for wounded cars to get into the infield.

Safety Observer

I would recommend Allied Racing Association add someone in the stands with a radio. There is a clear advantage to this; this would be more of a safety observer not a racing official. You can see fuel cap and fuel leaks, car body rubbing on outside tires, outside flat tires, and fires starting under the cars. I would do this for free….just contact me!!!

Defently the food needs to change. The service was bad and they were always running out of stuff. When i did get a hamberger it wasn't the best tasting thing.

Great racing all year long and can't wait for 2012

It would be nice to see them run a enduro race once or twice next year with driver and passenger but passenger is optional I think I would run one of those races cause I had so much fun running one in Kentucky and one at tricity a couple of years back just a suggestion

Repair the bleachers don't replace them, Better food of course but the main thing is the races on the track; water the track! it should not be black after hot laps one groove ****s, time limit is good if the drivers can't figure it out after a couple of laps there not going to get after 40 minutes of stop and start racing & double file restarts for the features. Thank you for asking for the fans input.
