Godfrey finishing time

BP, the only thing I can say is either to stay home or leave the track at 10 then you can be in bed by 10:30 or 11:00 time frame. Some people like to see some racing.
 
Goingracing, I didn't even know that I was campaigning against the Godfrey scorer for top "idiot". I don't think either one of us will be accepting your nomination.

I'm with you guys on this one too. If they can't get the races done faster then nix the "hot pits". I know this would have hurt Wild 1 and Collins, but with all the time wasted in wrecks, the "hot pit" is another waste.

A lot of tracks have a rule, if you pull into the infield or go out of the track you can NOT come back on the track.

I know just Friday this would have saved almost 30-45 minutes.

Just a suggestion, since it seems they are looking for ways to speed up the show.
 
Since when did we start qualifying the modifieds? Just my opinion but I think all cars should run a heat race, and I love the sportsman drivers, but 45 minutes to get 2laps in come on, there's your time limit problem put a time limit on all classes if they can't race together without tearing everyones **it up then they don't need to be racing. By the way, why is it that every weekend the #44 and the #16 mods always start on the front row of their heats and then the time you decide to qualify them they qualify 1 and 2? Just a question. :mad:
 
No, it wouldn't be a family thing. If everyone who claims there is a conspiracy would take a minute to look at the big picture, they would see how completely out of the loop they are.
 
You can hear the times being said on the loud speaker, and if you write them down and count them, it all comes out correctly every week, front row starts are based on your qualifying time after all the dash cars have been taken out for the dash itself...the less cars there are, the more chance you have of a front row start...stop *****ing about everything and do the math.
 
I would like for those who believe there is a conspiracy to visit me one night at the track and I will gladly pull out all of my old sheets. I will be more than happy to go over every single nights pill draws, time trials, and how the line-ups were determined that night. There is absolutely NO possible way to cheat in line-ups nor would I ever consider it. Looking back at my sheets, this past week was the first time in over two months that the 44 started front row (reminding you the only reason he did was because HE QUALIFIED FOR THAT POSITION.)

I am not related nor affiliated with any driver. I consider myself as fair as they come and treat ever driver the exact same. Since I am the head "chief" scorer, I am the one in control. I would never EVER let someone try to help a favorite driver nor a family member for that matter.

a promoter has to keep 3 different bunches of folks happy,,first the fans,,since that is who the show is put on for,they pay their hard earned bux to see a FULL show,not one that has to drop a class because of a time limit,(exculiding weather related issues),no fans in the stands,no money to pay the purse,you get the picture,,then come the racers,,every racer that enters the track on any given night deserves the right to run ALL the races that are available to them that night,,the promotor needs to realise this and regardless of steeping on one classes toes,MUST do what is nessary to get a full show in,,lastly is the track crew(the promotor is at the very bottom of the heap and most racers and fans view them as greedy pond scum),,from the scorers to the cornor man,flag man,line up man,etc.etc.they work their tails off to attempt to run a complete show so the fans and racers can go home happy,,they are just people tring to do a job and they deserve a lot more RESPECT than shown on this site,,NOW FOR MY IDEAS TO IMPROVE THE SHOW,,drop time trials all together for a 1 week trial ,just to see what happens,,yes mr.godfery promotor you will get grief,but for the betterment of the whole program do it..as a example,we ran a 25 lap lm feature and my car was loaded befor 10 pm,and that with lm qualifing and a time limit,,some of you are going to ask,what the heck does FIREBALL know about running a race,,well i have been doing this deal for 39 years,i was at one time on allieds board of directors when they had the biggest show arround,but then thats a storie for a different post,i also have promoted a race or two myself,at greenville we had over 60 cars for just 2 classes,,will the godfrey promoter take my adivse,probaby not,,i tried to give some good tips last year and got bashed for tring,,thats all for now,,lenny g. here,,if i make some one mad,,GOOD!!!!!
 
I think I was misunderstood about the qualifying, what I said is they were the first two out to qualify, in other words every week whether there is qualifying or a pill draw for a heat they are always in the front, I wish my luck was as good for one night as theirs has been all year. Just luck I guess.

everyone can ***** all they want but as a racer hows got to do a dx feature i think no more quilifiying at all for anyone do it the old way pill draw/ that give all a chance and not have same people up front all the time
 
If they take away qualifying, especially for the LM's..they would probably lose more cars...and if you think ppl are *****ing now about "what a coincidence it was" that 2 ppl in the same family started in the front rows, what do you think will happen when they draw pills that line them up that way..they would be accusing you of messing with the pills, because thats more possible than to mess up their qualifying time. There are always gonna be ppl who might say that but the best thing to do is keep the drivers happy and keep the qualifying..bc without the drivers, you dont have a track.
 
the pill draw at gofery is held out where all can view,no hidden pills up a sleve,my sujestion was drop it one night,,,
