Greg McCray Memorial Coming to Highland Speedway May 3rd | Possible $5,000-to-win Modified Feature!

That is something good for the Mod guys to race for. Thanks for the info. Hopefully this will get several more cars to race at Highland this Saturday.

I'm trying to be cautious in my response to last night, but here I go again...To the Family and Friends of Greg: In the best interest of his memory and Greg's friends and fans,I believe that in 2015 the Memorial Race should be moved to Fayette County Speedway, since the ineptitude and/or laziness of the Track Officials ruined what should've been a FANTASTIC night of RACING,instead the Officials sat on their hands instead of getting the cars lined up in a timely manner and all other issues that caused the Program to drag on too long and run up against the curfew!!!..Seriously,this Family went to great lengths to get a GREAT PAYOUT for the RACERS in honor of Greg, and the Promotor and his poor track staff shot themselves in the foot! Do you really think that the Sponsers and Donaters wanted see a CLOWN SHOW like that???...2015 Memorial Race at Brownstown with TWO CLASSES only(The 2 Classes that Greg raced in)Mods and Sportsman only,$3000 to win and $200 to start for Mods and $500 to win and $50 to start for Sportsman! on a Saturday, even if you have to pay extra to rent the track...Just my opinion, fire away!....:)...What a DAMN Shame!

Thanks to Gregs family and friends for putting this on,highland is where this memorial race belongs it is where Greg raced a majority of his races at.The track crew wasnt ready for the huge turnout it is not the end of the world damn be glad the cars showed up!people were complaining not enough big names showed up,Griffaw ,Harrison Eilers Beilong Aaron Keine Hoffman is a good field of driversif the big dogs would rather race for 700$ somewhere else it is their loss.

Reread my Post!..Did you know Greg or are you just not paying attention!..The Fans were pissed off when they left!...THERE ARE NO EXCUSES FOR THIS BS!..Are they ever ready for a HUGE Turnout?..Probably not, since they don't get one on regular basis!..Have a good day!..BTW,He raced at Brownstown also...;)

Greg was my favorite sportsman driver and i talked to him often thank you!It is a shame what happened to him, hopefully highland speedway will get this straightened out!

You wanna piss on the "big dogs" as you refer to them.. I know for a fact a couple of those "big dogs" asked several times on the purse and know one knew.. Some of those "big dogs" are 2-3 hours away and I don't blame them at all for not making the trip and I guarantee they are very thankful today that they didn't get involved with the typical lazy Highland crew.. I hate it for the memorial and the family because this could have been so much better.. Look at tri city they pay $3000 to win and they get 60+ cars.. It's all about the track and its personnel.. The night before just 30 miles away at tri city u had 34 mods for a $1000 to win and u had some "big dogs" mevert, kinder, Walsh, shaw, long etc.... I just hoped for better for the memorial and the family.. It's a crying shame the race they got donations for that feature had to be shortened...

having it at brownstown with 20 spectators good idea
Highland is the place for this show but getting all the other big name's there besides the local heavy hitters isn't gonna happen imo...just to much carnage at this track for them! And to have them come in and beat the guys that's been tearing this bullring up for yrs is gonna be a hard thing to do imo!

Rusty did it last night :)

Rusty has a lot of laps at this track...but would also say Harrison broke and dum sh-t Hoffman took out Beilong! So who's that leave that's good at the lil bullring like them two?

I'm sure more than 20 people would show up since all the "Big Dogs",as you call them, would be there, with their fans.H*ll,over 100 people were invited through the Memorial Race's Facebook Page. "Greg McCray Memorial Race"on FB,check it out!..:)

I saw the (grainy) video, and it looked like it started as a racing deal?

Maybe started as a racing deal but hoffman coulda let out when brian crossed up in front of him! It was a move he did on purpose and I hope someone gives him a taste of his own medicine!

The coolest part about a track like highland is that it somewhat equlizes the field of cars and the big hitters cant run off and win a feature buy a half a lap or more like what happens at tri city and i-55 sometimes.
