hey bleedblue

I'll ask on this thread, I ask on another but no one responded, besides a smart*** . I am just curious, if guys run on a track with chemically altered tires, is it possible to get into the dirt and show up on others tires??

I'm no expert, but I don't think so. The crap is liquid when you put it on the tires, and its dry when it wears off. Don't think a dry substance can easily seep into rubber especially when the residue is airborne getting thrown into the stands.

Dirt hound: monkey see, monkey do!

How absurd:eek:

I am not on here to argue the point, it has already been established. Just saying.......

So, if that is true, then that means I am no longer just drinking dirt in my beer, I am also drinking chemical particals??? Nice! A sport that I have loved all my life just keeps getting more rediculous!!!

I'm just simply asking questions! I hate cheaters, there actually are plenty of racers out there that are good, HONEST people! The cheaters ruin it for the rest of the racing world. Dealing something that is illegal in a sport is just as wrong as those who use it in my book! I guess Mr. Gieseking needs to answer my question because he is such a knowledgable expert, he would know what his products do!

The thing about Tri-City was an accident. Yes they were warned but to be honest the girls at the gate had NO IDEA that was him. When the crews ask if you can run parts in and the gate guy says no they get angry cuz they don't want to have to walk, so they start letting people drop things off and now they ended up letting in a bad guy. It was a slight miscommunication. Be honest there were other things going on that night that may have caused distractions.

As for Nick I can't believe someone who says they love racing so much would do something so scummy. Kloos wasn't using his stuff, but that doesn't make any of it ok. Not only is he helping guys break the rules continuously, now with his "descret" location he'll be taking those tires in and out of his house with small children around. I think it's terrible that you see the rules, break them and try to justify it anyway. Go back to karts, we dont need you around. I'm sure the guys that lead the field this weekend for all the Lucas shows won't need his number, nor will they want it. Anyone who loves the sport enough to dedicate enough time to become a big name like that wouldn't associate themselves with someone like him! I know someone is going to say "Bloomer did it" and got caught HA! But saying Bloomer did it is like saying Dixon used it so it must be alright....NOT! He's becoming a huge part in ruining the sport we all love!! What gets me the most is that it's not an outsider looking to make money! His twisted head somehow believes he's helping a sport he's spent his entire life around, and encourages his little ones to be a part of. I will say it totally make me smile that the people who aren't using "his stuff" are still beating those guys and he can't do a thing about it.

ok, now that this has turned to tire chemicals in the air..... When was the last time you heard of someone getting caught with spiced fuel? I absolutely guarantee you, theres oxygenators and carsinogens such as benzine added to fuel, (ever notice the sweet smell from some cars?) These sanctioning bodys dont have fuel deals with anyone, so you dont see an uproar over it.

The chemicals used in tire prep are over the counter things you can buy at the hardware store, the prep guys arent splitting atoms and making radioactive substances. theres no reason Hoosier or any other company cant to this themselves when the tire is made other than longevity and selling more tires.

In kart racing 2 manufaturers stepped up to the plate and started making a better tire, now theyve won the market, the tires they produce now have much less rubber on them, and have a much better profile, cutting is now only used to true a tire, not to get the exess rubber off, prep is still used, but not as extensive as it was 10 years ago.

If Hoosier didnt have the market cornered, I promise you there would be a much better product than there is right now. And the whole "tire prep" thing would be forgotten. Remember how Goodyear improved tires when Hoosier jumped into nascar?

Dont wish for that. UMP demands hoosier only and guess what would happen to the tire bill if they started that?? Up up and away. Second....wont happen due to they could be held liable for soil cleanup. Oil gas aint nothing compared to the stuff that can be used on preps. Undetectable or not. Best thing to do is people to stop.......i say like ive said make them run on all A's. Hate it when its tacky but tires last way longer.

What chemicals are in tire prep?

Depends on who is claiming its prep. Like the ones used on kart tires.....very harsh stuff. Dont know the particulars...........but its wicked stuff. Like paint thinner on acid. Google it...lotta preps out there but alot also wont tell you exaclty whats in their products. Undetectable of not.

Methylnaphthaline, toluene, benzene, xylene. Prep is the name of the game in kart racing, been around it for many years. I hope nick and other manufacturers are taking the necessary precautions with it, because it is all nasty stuff. As far as whats in your beer when you go to a race, you're better off worrying about if the dude behind the counter spit in it or not cause of that dirty look you gave him :D Leaded gas is used by all cars and will do more damage than whats in the dirt.

Lol, I'm not as worried about what's in the beer, just my smartbutt comment when they said the chemicals don't go in the dirt they go airborn.. But I am still curious on can they go into the dirt and contaminate someone else's tires???

I guess we'll find out in a couple of years when drivers, pit crews, and fans start having kids with a tail and a third leg. Maybe even glow in the dark!

The only way I could see that happening is if the guy in front of you had tires dripping wet and you drove in his tracks. Most of the treatments I have seen evaporate pretty quick. When was the last time anyone ever had a tire finish a race with rubber build up on it?? Not likely.
