Hey Terry - track looked great

Somebody who catches fire during WARMUPS or tries to plant a tree on his tow vehicle would NEVER do such a thing.... LOL
 
Now you can't go bashing a tornado victim! I'm just glad it got my tow'n truck. The race truck was on the trailer right next to it and it didn't get a scratch.
 
I think all of you are full of @#*%, just kidding. And you are correct racewidow, you do have to watch out for us DESOTO boys! We might not know a whole lot but we do know our racin'. Perfect example, Rich Whaley #59 modified, he's from Desoto also. I was helping Rich with his street stocks when he first started racing about thirteen years ago. Look how he runs that modified now!!! Hope to keep in touch with all of you this race season, sound like a good bunch of racin' fans. :cool: :cool:
 
I've made friends all over the place, but I've gotta tell you - the best friends I've ever made were within the racing community.

Rich Whaley is the man in a modified. I remember some of his first cars before I left for the military.
 
Hey Wheel21, when Rich was racing street stocks he did almost all of the work on the car himself. Guess what, he is still doing the same thing today on his modified. That's one BIG reason he's competitve week in and week out. No one knows that race car better than him. Rich is a cool guy to hang with. :cool: :cool: :cool:
 
Yeah I know. And to think I thought is was because of Al Hammond.:D Rich is a few years younger than me but Shawn and his cousin Jeff were all in the same grade and Jeff and I hung out together all the time.
 
Yeah, Jeff tried his hand at racing a few times but never really had the knack for it like Rich. I remember Rich used to help Jeff alot on his car. Rich is pretty #@*& smart when it comes to racin' stuff. But he's also learned alot from guys like somebody named " ROCKETMAN", that would be Scott Weber. :cool:
 
Yeah I was supposed to help Jeff with that first car he got from Ryan and we were going to split driving time. But bad grades on my part ended that before it started. Then Jeff's mom gave him her ol monte to go racing. I saw Jeffs Sportsman 2 years ago, but he's gotten married since then and I guess stays pretty busy with that. I'm suprised if we haven't crossed paths before.

Thanks for the flowers. I am planing to have the lights and bleechers done within in two weeks. I will be glad to get done with the work so we can get started racing.
 
Back when Ryan and Rich were racin' there dad, Bob, would sometimes give us enough gas to go racin' if we didn't have the cash to buy our own. You don't see much of that anymore. I saw Rich's mom the other night but didn't get a chance to ask about this year's car. :cool:
