about the 71 and 17 cars that are saturns they are completly stock i know for a fact cause i am good friends with them. they only reason they sound like that is because of the exuast system they put on them and you can not get a racing chip for the saturns it is imposible to and they cost more than 100 try about 300 or more.
In this country a person can say what is on his/her mind.
But... by saying you are going to cause harm to somebody, and then acting upon it is premeditated(sp). that is a crime.
saying that you will cause harm to someone should be taken seriously, just like saying that you will blow up the white house. there is not much of a difference.
remember, racing is a hobby for most. It is something we do for fun. What if you purposely hit someone, roll them, and they break thier neck. How would you feel about it when someone asks why you did it, and you reply, because he had it comin'.
not a situation I would want to be in.Beat them to the checkered flag, not to the hospital.

Your absoulutely right about freedom of speech, and Millsey would be the first to defend freedom of speech. But I also think its the promoter's and official's right to suspend a racer for making threats. In fact, if they did not take threats seriously, then they would not be acting in the interests of everyone at the track. All of this taking revenge stuff is getting out of hand already, and its only been one night of racing. If they dont do something to settle these hornet racers down a bit, it could real ugly before the end of the year. Give em a timeout, let em think it over for a bit, then see how things go when they come back.
Although I am "retired from scoring" on a weekly basis, I am going to add a comment to this discussion ...

Point me in the direction of these open threats to wreck someone on the track, cuz ive read through here a few times and have missed them. The only threat i really saw was racinfan00 said eilers would kick that kids *** w/his car. Now judging by the name i dont think they r driving any cars, so i doubt they wreck anyone. And then that other kid was just sayin if eilers came up to him he wouldnt back down, not that he was gonna ram him. So unless i missed some posts, no could really be suspended from anywhere.
ANd about eilers getting their cars cheap cuz they were wrecked, im sure they did. But how much do they have invested in them? Charlie Hecks car was a roleover too and he got it really cheap, but he blows everyone at mt vernon away usually, and why is this, besides the fact that charlie gets unknown amounts of time to practice on his dads track, its becuz they both have to much money pumped into these cars. If you got that kind of money to put in your car, move up, quit making the racing boring for the other drivers and the fans. And eilers has it pumped into two cars, so if he is as good as you say he is, and he has this much money in it, why is he still racing hornets?

Now, all of this might just look like some loose silly talk from kids, but this is the kind of stuff that leads to trouble on the track. Its been one night, and this is the garbage thats already getting started. I think all of these guys need to calm down, think this over, and figure out that pursuing this kind of vendetta against anyone is only going to end in tears for all concerned. I am quite certain that this nonsense will be addressed and dealt with next saturday night. For any of you kids who think this is the place to mouth off and no one will notice, think again. The Highland officials read this site, and take note of what is said. Your doing yourselves no favors with all of this, so just drop it and go racing with whatever you have. Or start looking for a new track. You need to remember, there are plenty of hornets there to have fun, kicking a couple troublemakers out isnt going to cause Charlie any stress at all, he has plenty there already who want to have fun and not try and kill each other.

Harey, surely you don't believe that remarks like that have any place here. It's one thing for some guy to get mad and pop off to a friend about what they are going to do, but when you put it out in the open for the public to see and read then that is just plain stupid. Especially after just the first night of the season. I don't know the owners or the promoters at Highland, but anytime you come onto a public forum and make those kinds of statements you are doing nothing but asking for problems. Before I even opened the thread it just sounded to me like a case of sour grapes.
And yes I totally believe in the freedom of speech, but ONLY WHEN A PERSON ACTUALLY PLACES THEIR NAME WITH THE ITEM. That way they are held accountable for their statements and they can't hide and be a coward behind some ficticious name. Most of the time it's easy to see what kind of a person you are dealing with when you click on their profile and it's blank or there is a bunch of garbage there. Want credibility - put your name behind what you say.
