Highland updates 5.16.15

No dog in this fight but curious what the penalty will be for this. Hope it's consistent with some of the bone head calls by UMP

Look what Casey Roberts got, for what seems to me to be much less of an infraction.

Take it to the bank he will not tolerate dauderman or salter rooting on him.Mike doesn't root on people to pass them doesn't like being rooted on either.
He doesn't pass anyone, he can barely control his car. Well, until he uses it as a battering ram.

Tell UMP that Schulte is a friend AL KREKES then see what Sam does.LMAO
Thanks gator. I needed that! Lmao

You know what- we got rolled while under yellow. Guy got a weeks suspension. I got run over and had a foot broken in three places. That guy got thirty days. I got an indefinite suspension for calling Sammy a pussy. Then UMP golden boy, Josh Richards, gets punched and Casey Roberts gets 6 months. What the heck is UMP about? Very confusing. Let's hope they get it right.

OK al seriously do you have any room to talk about anybody you are far from perfect the guys you threw or throw money to love you but you have a lot if haters too!you are no better than Mike!I am done with this throwing shit at mike isn't going to change anything he has a lot of friends and is a genuine good person he screwed up on this one and he will accept whatever consequence comes from highland and ump.

I never made one comment about Mikes actions or driving. You need to re-read my post Kenny! As usual I have concerns over UMP being able to make the right decisions under any circumstances. Too much political BS! The way things have gone in the past Mike will just have to wash SAMs car for punishment!

And for the record we never used our car as a weapon unlike a bunch of those pussies that did against us!

You're starting to sound like the criminal's mother on the news that says there's no way that their child could have done this, because they're such a good boy. In this scenario, how Mike is in every day life DOES NOT MATTER. He put so many lives in danger during his little temper tantrum. Stop trying to defend his actions, because nothing you say will change my (or anyone else's) mind. Had he quit after he initially bumped Duaderman...whatever. Typical Schulte. I lost respect for him as a driver years ago. He does not deserve to be allowed back on a track after what happened Saturday night.

What about the drunks that came out of the stands when this happened? I think one of them even had a track shirt on. Why are fans allowed to come onto the track? Much less Drunk Fans? If your in the stand drinking, you need to stay in the stands. If your an official maybe you should act like an official.

I watch that and what occurs to me is not whether Schulte was right or wrong, justified or not justified in being angry and retaliating.

What I think the issue is more than anything else is self-control.

If you feel that strongly you have been wronged by someone on the track, you have an obligation to not allow your own anger/frustration boil over to the point you not only retaliate against the person you are angry with but put other innocent bystanders who have done nothing to you in danger as well.

At this point in a season you have to think there are many more nights of racing ahead of you and while it is difficult, the better option, if you really want to pay someone back, is to wait until you get the perfect opportunity to hide your intentions behind the mask of "oh, sorry, didn't mean to do that" while stuffing the son of a gun straight into the wall and destroying their car for them. And do it when the collateral damage is as minimal as possible.

Racing is to a certain degree a self-policing sport. You run someone dirty, expect to get paid back ten fold. That's how it is. But the smart guys keep their cool and pick the moment and don't let themselves pay any great price for it or endanger people you have no issues with while doing it. That's self-control. Just going ballistic in the moment and shoving some guy's empty car around endangering anyone else kind of costs you public opinion being on your side or keeping yourself off the radar of the officials.

If I am an official looking at this, my main concern isn't who was right or wrong or who did what to who. My big concern is this guy really lost his cool behind the wheel and put some innocent people we know he wasn't mad at in danger. That Red Mist coming down would certainly make me very cautious about letting this person continue to race.

Sure, everyone gets mad, everyone has an issue at some point or another with another driver and how they race you. Most don't allow themselves to lose it like this and that would be my main concern.

well if I was the official he would not ever see the track again!! this was a very dangerous act with the intent to do harm. I go to watch racing not idiots like that. come on highland and ump take action now!

both should be sat down for a while by the way everyone overlooked the good car count for lates sat
