Zobrist Hit Everyone in the Feature????
Who were you watching? Billy Drake decided to get some traction off of Zobrist's hood in the heat to take the lead. I was glad to see Chad pass him back using the same tactic. However in the feature I don't remeber him hitting anyone besides when him and M Faust touched and I would hardly put the blame on Zobrist for that occurence. He was very strong in the feature and had a car that would work on the top and bottom. He used the top to pass the slower cars and I never saw him move anybody. It was a very impressive finish starting 12th due to the lack of horses early in the night. Not bad for a steal block (main motor took a shXX at Godfrey) that probably has less horses than some modified guys. Cars he passed B Faust, Melvin, Gansmann, Voight, Martin, M Faust, Dixon, Weaver, Shephard, and was closing on Korte in the final laps.

Just my opinion.

last night with the black @$$ corners it didnt matter if you had horse just keep it wineden did anybody see how Duke did i think that he started 16 or 17 and i was told he finish well in the top 10 maybe even top 5 and zobe almost has to hit people to get them out of his way becuse he is leading points at highland as of last sat nighthes just tryin to show people that he can run with the big dogs but really if he raced clean during most all his races this year he would probably be able to pass more cars because hers not sticken them in the wall zobe just needs to remember how it felt whe he got thrown in the wall well that i all from, me till later

Hmmm why do you think Babb,s car was like no other, so smooth , and stuck to a slick track ? traction control ?

LOL it seems like anymore that if you are fast, you are running "traction control" Think about it...maybe he is fast because, he and his crew do it for a living all over the United States...just like many other great drivers...let me see you think Don O Neal, Bloomer and many others run it too...GIVE ME A BREAK....just because he is faster than one of your favorite locals doesnt mean he is running traction control. His car was setup perfectly like usual because they work their butt off to get it right...

Ed's tires gave out and instead doing more wear and tear on the car he got off the track. Congratulations to Ed on winning his Heat!

Upsman, I don't know if they missed the set up or what, but he really never looked like he got up to speed. It did'nt take to long, he started falling back quickly and when Babb lapped him he pulled off right away.

first its Melvin, then its Korte, and now its BABB? you must be crazy, just because he knows how to set up his car and has good programs he's cheating. Wow............ and about the whole zobrist subject, im not goin to say much but yes lately Zobe has been pretty wild(j/m/o) Congrats to Babb! Great race

Also I was pretty disapointed to see that there was black spots in hot laps when there was WATER standing on the frontstretch when they was packing it.

I was wondering if anyone was going to comment on the driving of Zobrist.
Zobrist was all over everyone in the heat races and the feature. Yes he has a fast car he shouldn't have to drive like that. And if you were at the race, did you notice the black rubber marks all the way down both sides of his car!? Not to mention that in the heat race he cheated and cut through half the infield around the tires. I think that they shouldn't allow that stuff like that to happen. They use to years ago penalize people for doing that. The funny thing is that after he did that a caution came out and he had to go back behind dixon becausehe wasn't leading a whole lap. Everyone in the crowd was cheering when that happened. Also before that he ran into Drake over the front of his car causing him to go out of the race because it tore up his car. I use to like watching Zobrist back when he ran the white and red i think it was kix 106 car whatever country station it was at the time. But now I am not so sure seems like he has changed for the worst from what i saw on wed. night at highland. And about shannon babb how can you even think of him cheating. That guy can race he is very smooth no matter what track he goes to, he is a very good driver and knows his stuff, he doesn't need to cheat. Way to go BABB on YOUR GREAT WIN!!!!!!! As for korte looks like he couldn't handle babb in the 6fastest race because it looked like he almost took him out to win the race. Babb's tires smoked from stomping the brakes and when korte returned for the heat race he had black tire marks on his car too. What does anyone else think about that too?

I didn't think the Korte/Babb incident was anyone's fault. I thought they just bumped, a true racing incident. Two guys driving hard for the win. JMO

Babb and Korte are good friends, although Randy drives aggresively. I don't think he ment to get into Babb, Shannon bobbled comming out of turn two, and Randy likes to run low in the corners and drift up the track on the way out. If Shannon would have ran it smooth, like he did the rest of the night, they wouldn't have gotten together. If Shannon had made a bigger mistake Korte would have passed him cleanly. Thats racing!!
Chad on the other hand was all over the track. And (My Opinion) Out of control.

Babb let off to let korte have first so Babb could have first place.... and Randy was still in the gas when Babb let off and Randy drove over Babbs tire

Zobrist probably figured they wouldn't send to the back three nights in a row and I guess he was right. Drake had a car that could have made it to the front in the feature if Zobrist would have realized that he was not, and probably never will be, near as fast as Drake. He thinks he can drive the same aggressive style as Korte but he ain't no Korte either. It was really bad for the Highland track to have a driver who races on the national level come into town and get KO'd by a local who has the fair board under his thumb. Charlie and the other officials are doing all they can under the circumstances to keep him under control but there is only so much they can do. I have began to notice how the crowd is not near as much in his favor as in the past. It used to be very pro-Zobrist crowd but now they are cheering when he gets put to the back. However, he is a good driver with a lot of potential so let's hope he sees the need to change.

If A Guy Can't Go In The Slick Now Days, Then He Is Just Outta Luck. I Haven't Seen A Tacky Track At Feature Time Anywhere In A Couple Months. I Would Expect A Traveling Professional To Figure Out How To Do It.
