Hoosier A40S Will Replace A40 As Approved DIRTcar UMP Modified Division Tire Compound on April 1

14500 and 18500 are two different numbers you must do that new math

It was much closer than that. And is $4k really going to make a big difference to save racing?

The new pump gas motor is much cheaper to operate on a weekly basis and longer life between rebuilds. All depends how you look at what the total cost is for each.

If a guy races 35+ times a season the more expensive motor is a lower total cost.

You can bolt spec heads on many existing motors at a much lower cost an I would say the jury is still out on the pump gas motor I would give it a year or two in the R an D phase before I invested in one 14500 was the number I paid an the number on the sheets hanging in scp an I think a stage 3 Mullins is 18500

I don't care what any of you do I will still be around because I'm already going a cheaper route whether its a rule or not just trying to help inform those that may not know but Dave has been around bomber an b mod racing for like 3 years so I would take his expert opinion lol

I can compare numbers and costs. It doesn't take seat time in a race car to comprehend.

It does take years of experience an actually knowing what it costs to run an maintain things not just what some one trying to sell you some thing told you all I can say is some people have to learn the hard way an I guess your one of them good luck what ever you do but expect an I told you so my friend lol

Now you are assuming all I've done is talk to the guys selling the motors. and I never said I was an expert but I did say I wasn't sure on the spec head. Try not to get so bent out of shape if someone doesn't take your word as the gospel. There are seasoned racers like yourself against the spec head too. It will all be ok in the end for both of us i'm sure.

Well it has to be mopar and there is no way any one could afford small block hemi heads so 340 heads will have to do

Are hemi's even legal anymore as an a-mod?

Dave I think you are good at driving cars an writing checks don't mean to be hard on you for writing about things you know very little about it doesn't make you any different than most people on here I guess I just expect more out of you that's my fault though I will just pretend like your just another screen name from now on lol

I guess I didn't meet your expectations because I asked questions, brought up other ideas and didn't agree with you 100% on everything but did so in a respectful way. You must not get along with many people if they don't kneel down and kiss your a$$. But that's cool.
