Howdy Folks :)

Mike Ward does't race the car anymore he owns it and Tim Crawley drives it. They run with the ASCS mostly. Mike hurt his back a couple years ago had to have surgery. Hasnt been in car since that I know of.

Great pics, brought back lots of good memories...grew up going to the races EVERY saturday night during the 1980's. When my dad wouldn't get home from driving a big rig on the weekends, I would ride with my next door neighbor who happend to be the flag man, Jim Stewert. Loved the number 77 sprint car with his orange rims, use to paint orange rims on all my hot wheels to look like his. If I remember right, that was Jimmy Riley, correct me if I am wrong. I was a huge fan of Ronnie Milton, seemed liked everyone hated him but me. On the modified side, I pulled for Danny Moser. Let me see if I can name some of the drivers back in my day, hopefully the spelling won't be to bad.
Tommy Burch
Dean Adams Jr Sr and Ted
Jim Moghan
Ron Standridge
Rod Redman
Rick Pennel
Bob Thoman
Rod Crabtree
Tony Wyatt
Mike Thurman
Dean Lindsy
last name Eastman...red number 88
David O'Donley
Anyone remember any of those old Modified guys, I can only think of a few like Ronnie Sales, Kenny LaChaunce.

It was Gary Easton from Illinois in the 88 car, and Bob and Bill Greif ...Bob was the announcer and his twin brother Bill ran the grader, maintance on the track.

the 43 car was my grandpas car he let ted drive it my grandpas name is steve devine or some people met know him as steve reno

I remember Basler driving the 23 car at the old Arena Park track in Cape. I think he and Jr. Geile ran together most of the time. I think Geile drove a 2 car with a roof that looked like it was made from an
early 50's pickup cab. Gene "Tubby" Black and Gene Burch also ran down there for a couple of years after they started allowing injected engines. Does anyone remember what years those were. One of the last years that they ran carburetors Chuck Amati had a 427 ci Ford with 3 4-barrels. He won three track championships that year. What year did the first run wings at Farmington? Durrell Fowler from Portageville ran the first winged car at Cape but I forget what year that was.

Nice pix of the Blackmaster!
Around what time was that old sprint car pix anyhow? Anyone know?
:)

I must have built 100 sets of those Zoomie pipes like on the Gene's old car. Dad, Gary Easton, bought a huth tubing bender around 1976. Those pipes and wheels and front wing look to be around '78, the top wing style throws me as it was a much older style '72/74.

I believe it is 1978 or 1979.
