Federated Auto Parts @ I-55 I55 updates 8-29-15

Seems like the feature didn t miss a bit

So F40,you claimed not to see any dust tonight and have 58 yrs. Of whatever, maybe you should get some new spectacles for your eyes. See what happened was that mother nature even reared her ugly head tonight and said the track was junk.

I realize that Jimmy but the track never should've looked like that right off the bat,and they never made an attempt to even try to fix it until intermission.

I think you're asking for trouble if you're asking for a hammer down track all the time. Drivers usually prefer slick over tacky. It just tears up equipment. I think if a track was always hammerdown you'd start to see car counts dropping. Id say leave the tractors alone for the night besides the normal prep through the week and let the track progress as it should. The track probably could have used some water on the top to keep the dust down though.

I think by feature time the track was just about right and you can't handle the dust there is a track on i44 that fit your fancy just fine

Went to the races tonight after a long absence from the scene and enjoyed myself. But i got to laugh at the people complaining about the racing surface. Just glad to be back at a DIRT track and see some good DIRT racing.

Did anyone notice in the 5th LM heat that the #2 from Texas got the Allied treatment. Spun on the first lap and got sent to the back (Which I agree with). On the restart Webber brings out the caution and gets his spot back. With a 1 lane track, that cost the #2 a transfer spot to the feature. The track admitted it made a mistake. They should have given him a provisional. A 26 car field wouldn't have made any difference. It would have been the right thing to do. That is why I don't go to many Allied races. They tend to make or enforce rules to help their regulars.

That was a MARS rule a one car yellow on the start the car goes to the rear a two car yellow on the start they both get their spot back the 92 and 28 were both called in the yellow they both got their spot back

The racing in the late model feature was much better but not great. If that's the way the drivers want the track prepared then I will be finding something else to do on Saturday nights. Jmo

There were drivers complaining in the pits about burning off doing hot laps
