Federated Auto Parts @ I-55 I55 updates 8-29-15

Tacky track motors expire dry track tires don t last the track can t win

That was a MARS rule a one car yellow on the start the car goes to the rear a two car yellow on the start they both get their spot back the 92 and 28 were both called in the yellow they both got their spot back
That's fine if that's the rule but if I remember right, Webber was the only one to stop on the track. How is that any different than the #2 spinning to avoid crashing into someone diving across his nose?
Also, all they did by reworking the track the way they did was move the train to the top of the track. There weren't any passes made on the bottom in the feature. When I got there at 6pm. the track was already dry in 3 & 4. I don't get to go to many races because of work. I used to look forward to coming to the big shows at Pevely. That is what I saved vacation days for. This is how the last 2 races that I've seen there have been. What used to be St. Louis' best track is falling behind and I probably won't be wasting my vacation there anymore. Sorry to see this establishment fall like it has.

That was the worst track prep that I have ever witnessed at Pevely (usually get down there 4 or 5 times a year). That is not usually the case though. The track was completely black from top to bottom after the late model hot laps (they hot lapped 1st).

Also, the person that claimed there was no dust was OBVIOUSLY not at the track. Goggles were required as soon as they started hot lapping.

It was better after they reworked it (THANKFULLY mother nature showed up) before the feature.

really I was down toward turn 1 hint hint no dust and not near as bad as I ve seen there or any other place did the track lock down no it was just bottom dominant it returned ike that after the late model feature the very bottom would take rubber the 14 the 316 and I beleive the sportsman feature was all won using the botom like jimmy said they made a mistake in track prep early and was going to fix during intermission which they so where is the beef

Cody Conner started 25th and finished 11th and didn't move off the bottom. Not saying the track was great but there was passing on the bottom.

I wonder if the feature would 've been better with a invert not that ot would happen jus saying

Hey moose tell me why the post is dumb did you watch the race or drink beer all night just if was as dusty as you guys are saying it was wouldn't it show up on video but I guess Ray and crew better never ever make a mistake again with track prep

Get over it a dirt track is what it is. We flat burned the tires off in the heat race congrats to the guys that didn't they set up for it we didn't. 95% of the time we have one of the finest prepped tracks in the country. So the crew missed it one night. Ill take I55's track prep anytime against anyone.

I'm sure that hour and a half of sunshine right before the evening started didn't help. In the end they fixed it and made the best of it. It was smooth and the fast cars still found their way to the front from what I could see.

I heard from a reliable source that Sam Driggers dictated the track conditions. Everyone should blame him and call him at the UMP office on Monday.

Hound, you're like the old guy that sits behind me. Absolutely refuses to accept reality when I-55 misses the mark. I am just glad that they (the track personnel) acknowledged it and reworked the track. They were going to do so anyway, regardless of the rain. The rubber on the bottom was terrible.

Saw a big block mod race on tv from there. Was a good race. Saw dust though. But track had two grooves!

I think dirtondirt must have a new fangled filter that cuts thru dust no showing in the video
