An informational and rules meeting for the 2006 season at Paducah International Raceway will be held on Saturday, December 17th at the American Legion Post 31 from 1-4pm. The address for the Legion is 425 Legion Drive. Divisions participating at PIR in 2006 will be the UMP late models, UMP modifieds, Crate late models, Pure Stocks, and the 4 cylinders. Schedules and rules will be discussed and questions and concerns will be addressed. We will be racing every Friday throughout the Spring and Summer. Please let all of your fellow racers know about this gathering as we want everyone to know about our exciting plans for the 2006 season

I Know I Probably Won't Be Able To Make The Meeting. Will There Be Rules On A Web-site Or A Booklet I Could Get Mailed? Interested In The Pure Stocks.

Thanks

I was'nt in the Mud. I got thrown out of the infield because my truck was to Tall. I guess it was a blessing in disguise.

Just a reminder that the meeting is this coming Saturday. Anyone interested in running Mini-sprints at Paducah should also attend this meeting. Meeting is at 1pm at the American Legion on Legion Drive in Paducah.

Fastrak please

Sure would like to race my Fastrak car there on friday nights and even race a couple of regional races also!

Fastrak

I know of three other drivers that I am related to that would love for that (PIR) to be a Fastrak sanction or maybe something that would allow all the tires in(besides the Hoosier) so they could race there too. I know of only one family member that has Hoosiers and he was given those. ( No tire rule calling for just the Hoosier or just the Goodyear) We need all three tires allowed.

The Fastrak deal would be good if we could get some of the regional races there as well. If they wish to be independant that would be cool as well as long as they allowed all three tires in there to race as well.

I agree

I agree that the membership deal for Fastrak is crazy, and the membership deal for Cars is more in line. Maybe go co-sanctioned or Independant and both have special events there, that way no one pays the high fees or is tied down to one tire? Then again, the one tire rule hurts CARS and Fastrak is suppost to allow all three tires from what I am hearing in the rumor mill. You know how rumors are though.

There are good points and bad points to both. I'm a bad guy because I put my thoughts on here anyways, and all I try to do is support one of my key sponsors in the crate mods which is American Racer Tires.

A LATE MODEL Crate series in general would be great regardless who it is. I for one like CARS deal because of just one tire, one compound and the Hoosier is a very good tire.

Crate reguardless

I agree with that statement. Maybe we should have PIR looks real hard at the Crate Modifieds also, since there are more modifieds arounds than LMs. The class would also be more affordable. That is just a thought though.
