i sure hope.. it would be nice to see who is there. i wasnt able to make it tonight.

40 cars. Billy Faust qualified 2nd in his group. He won his heat over kenny shrader by 1/2 lap. Feature starting order is Erb, Kloos, Billy, Smyser, Feger, Shrader

Ray Walsh won the mods.

The races got over at 10 minutes to 1. That is quite crazy. There was no need for the races to last that long.

two flips and a very long modified semi will do that. I also thought that they started way too many sportsmen cars, even though it was a good show. I was impressed at Troy Naeger after starting on the pole and getting a flat, starting at the rear...and finising 7th I believe.

the late model semi #2 between Steve Sheppard and Haynes alone worth the price of admission.

for the most part, the heats were boring with the leader retaining a straight-away lead.

congrats to Erb on his 16k purse.

The flips and spins did make the races last longer I understand that, there was no need to rework the track. That is what caused the flips. They only rework the track when Scharder is there. Last week no rework and it was one of the best features all year.

Well here it is almost 3 am and you're sitting on the computer griping because the races took too long, aparently you're not too tired....amazing:rolleyes:

I don't understand, people sit on here and whine and complain about the weather, the flooding, the gas prices..etc and all they want to do is go to the races and then as soon as they go to the races they come home hop on the ol' typing board and start whining about why the races took too long. I don't see Mr. Marler on here complaining about how he was up until midnight the night before working on the race track and then had to get up the next day and work the race...All I can say is amazing..simply amazing.

they we worked the track because they need to my big question wouldn't you run your headline class at least second

Jennifer...

As much as you get on here and BI*ch about eveything, why don't you just stay home and not cause yourself so much stress!!

Your life will be alot happier!!

(Along with ours!)

Reworking the track did not cause the flips. They needed to rework it and it turned out to be a pretty decent track. It was a little rough but they made it the best they could.

The reason they reworked the track a couple of weeks ago(Shop N Save) was Shirley went to Schrader and said you better fix the track or I'm loading up and going home. Or maybe Mr. Petroff told him to say that...:p Sorry Michelle....;)

I was there for that one!!!

And I wasn't there just to watch Shirley either.

I kind of wish that for bigger shows they would run the late models 1st or 2nd, but this is something that has been argued about many times on here before. In the end, I don't care when I get home as long as I see some good races. all in all, I was impressed with the way the track preparers kept the show moving along. It didn't take long to see a wrecker on the track after a wreck. I think some other local tracks should take a night off to see how a track should be run...

Not sure which flip you are talking about Jen- Apparently you do not know as much as you think - Our car did not flip because of the track our car flipped because of a racing deal- had the front ran over and banged ( everyone has to win on 1st lap ) and then next lap coming into turn one the tire rod broke shot into the wall and boom !!! Nope was not the track or Ray Marler or Schraders or even Chip's fault !!!!! But I guess in the world we live in we see things differently ! Now Jen I thought they did re work the track last Saturday Night ! Remember they did it in between the pro 4's heats. Yep that was last week! I know I have selective memory but if my memory serves me correct Schrader was not there last Sat Night. So I guess they did it because the track needed it! The track needed re- working last night as well ! You have become a bigger complainer than me :( You have not been happy with the track and it's announcer for the most part of the second half of the season. While you were home pecking on the keys they were still up at the track re working it - we left at 2:30 and they were working the track still with alot to go ! So I am sure those people are more tired and aggrevated than you could ever be!
I-55- Ray - Mark- Dustin their whole family work their butts off each week. Just like any promoter they want the best racing surface as possible! And if you took the time to talk to Mr. Marler after the races he is ate up when his track is not the best he is a Quadruple A personality. And he and the crew take GREAT PRIDE in the track THEY run ... I agree with Real Race Fan just stay home and amuse us all !!!!!!! You get uptight over a town issue on a driver and talk about getting the facts straight! Well sister take your own advice -- kinda like the pot calling the kettle black ! Right !!!!!!
I can't believe you complained about your employer like that on a public forumn. Kinda like shooting yourself in the foot if you ask me - :D

I do not remember them reworking the track last week but I do remember them reworking the track the week before that. I have been to a lot of different tracks and they don't rework the track. I haven't said anything in this thread that I wouldn't say to Ray. I think its crazy when Tri-City gets over at one am.

On the big shows...when you have more out of town fans who have driven long distances, BECAUSE of the special show for a class...I do agree that running that class first might be a good idea
