Issues for the Next RAMS Meeting

Like I said the point deal isn't the real issue to me.. I was just throwing that one out there. But we had a track run less than 9 cars all of last year so we can't say it won't happen. It might not work this year but it did last. But a low car count ain't going to make me go to that track anyways. I'm in this to race and race with the biggest car count I can. Might hurt me at times but it's sure a whole lot more fun!

I do see all the sides of the issue though..

You just get Doe Run Ministocks in this deal!!! That's my ISSUE HEHEHE

In one of my other posts i used the number 2 as a car count. We all know that is a bit low BUTTTTT i remember talking to Terry last year ( Lisa was there ) and he told me destinctivly he could NOT continue to pay only 4 cars ! There was many nights that only 4-6 ran at Fredericktown that is a fact. Some of us had stopped at the gas station afterward and they even discussed going ahead and Thanking Terry for his efforts and going to DR. To be honest im not sure who, if anyone is running Fredericktown ? I know Shannon is running DR, Bill is running DR, Marty is running DR, Wolf is running DR, not sure about the Cox family or the Reandos ........... IF Bobs truck is sold it is running DR. LD
 
was not 4-6 cars all year or under 9 all year....mmm wolf running doe run all the time hmmm we must be getting 2 differnt storys..I can't speak for JPR but I do not belive he does not want to change his set up to run DDR (but I'm not jon) by my figures now not written in stone

plus ld you got to figure in the "over" count how many times will you go to a race track and not get to run the main when you can go down the road and have a garunteed spot....

but back to the subject the fairest way would be to run
make the spots have the same points no matter on car count.. the cherry picking over car count and under car count will take care of itself :D :D
 
I have also heard from Wolf that he plans on running Doe Run. He might of changed his mind since I last talked to him. Who knows? :confused:

As a guy that usually is in the back, I can answer this. I will go to the track that I like the best. I will not go down the road just because they would have a guaranteed spot for me. I would work to get my way into that A-main. But this is just my opinion.

So if one track has 18, say another has 9, and say the other has 7. You don't think there is advantage there?
 
Rob, I'll answer for Kenny. NO! We had to change ours last year. If you are running leafs, you have to use adjustable shackles. Speedway sells them.

Unfortunately Mike, not everyone is as loyal to their "favorite track". When they get tired of paying a pit pass to WATCH races, they start thinking about it. And eventually they get faster or leave. I share your loyalty though, not getting to race just makes me do my homework....

Reread my post ! I said there was many nights there was only 4-6 cars there. And you as well as everyone else knows that is a fact ! It was almost embarrassing at times. We spent alot of time talking on the way home about how we could get the car counts up. I know even some of the drivers were embarrassed being on the track with 4 or 5 cars. NO other track would have ran them. Just like the night only a couple of the Hornets showed up, and Terry still allowed them to run even though he didnt have to. LD

OKAY LD and every body else look at this piont this way....

are we not a "family" raceing group?
at MCS we have 3 brothers racing
at doe run we have whiteheads, blue's(sp)
Nickelson,cox and "prolly" more at doe run (I don't know them all) that are related or have family racing agaist them at there "home tracks"...

so by the way kenny has suggested (point system) you want to punish your racers cause they have family racing/and or family values?

now how I come to that piont... you may ask???

I'll use my buddy wheel as a example.... rusty,wreckbone and wheel are all competing at DRR well there is a FAMILY emergency(death birth wedding ect) they cannot make it friday night with them 3 cars out now you have to cut there points for the night(rest of the ministocks) ??? is that far to them or the other racers because they put Family first?

another secinrio.... lets say your in a heated points battle last night of racing you blow your motor the week before can't make it to the track you have a 56 point lead... you always had the one car to make your first place worth 60 points... whats to keep the point leader paying off the one of the "backpacker" not to show up and garuntee him the championship???

will it happen? I dunno can it happen YES
 
Way too confusing for me..Why not just race for "Salsa packets"..give each driver that shows up a salsa packet and everyones happy...Think about it, if we had done that last year, it woulda been a lot easier to catch the embezzler, the one with salsa on their chin :D :D :D Also I have a friend that could furnish them, in mild, medium, or hot...
