I won't make the meeting but if you go ump mods I can say you will prob have 4 to 5 Quincy mods there every week. I know 2 for sure just letting you know.

Rizzle
I will note that. I know there were several mods and lates that always made the drive down. Thats the only reason for us to keep racing on Saturdays and not do Sundays like a ton of St. Louis keep wanting us to do. You racers up there have already proven you will come down.

I thought the same thing about the negative comments when the thread first started but it seems to have pretty much stopped. I'm just a fan in the stands but i find it fascinating reading all the comments and understanding all of the hard work it takes to get a track up and running. Best of Luck.

every interaction i have ever had with jim moon has been a good one,,wish the joint was a bit closer,5 miles to hi land as compaired to 103 to mmp,i may make the trip but a lot depends on how this old fart is doing at hiland------and now i am gon-a pizz all you mo. b-mod guys off-(nothing personal)--i was a die hard sportsman driver till hiland forced me to convert my car to a b=mod i wound up finishing well in 2012 with a allied 350..this year i had a rookie in a wore out old grt 3 link with a allied 350,,he won more heat races and came within a race of finishing secons,,still got 4th in a VERY ECONO MINDED CAR..if i had my say the motors would be flat top 35O s.... the b mods are supposed to be a economy class,,they are on my side of the pond but for sure not on the west side...JMO lenny garson

I totally agree and glad least someone is making an effort to get it opened again to give people another option

Len i totally agree. Flat top 350 max be the best option and keeps it affordable.

I agree as well! B-mod is any economy class, Flat Tops, solid cams and no shaft rockers. I have seen a sanctioning body's rules that said no stud girdles. Not sure I agree with that one. The other rule I have seen is no MSD Ignitions, dont know about that one as there is such an abundance of them available.

It makes sense to run a B-Mod class due to the excessive amount of used parts available from the A-mod guys. A certain A-Mod team helped me out a lot when I was building my car and help me at the track as well. I just believe that with the split between the Street Stocks and Sportsmen and the simple fact that there is several B-Mods around the MMP area just sitting the B-Mod class will have the largest car count from week to week.

TCS B MODS WOULD BE THE WAY TO GO CALLAWAY IS THE CLOSEST TRACK TO MMP AND THAT IS PRETTY MUCH OUR RULES AND WITH CALLAWAY STARTING TO CONVERT TO USRA IT WOULD BE A GOOD CLASS TO ESTABLISH BEING THERE WILL BE 20 PLUS CARS WITH NO WHERE TO RACE AND HAVE A CHANCE AT RUNNING UP FRONT AND AS FAR AND FAIRNESS GOES CALLAWAY HAS HOT THE "OUTLAW" B MOD RULES FOREVER AND THE MOST DOMINATING CAR THAT RAN WITH US WAS THE 95 OF LONNIE WYMAN WITCH WAS A LEAF SPRING CAR WITH A 355 SO YOU CAN MAKE ANYTHING WORK

I have a question. Why does everyone say an economy engine is one with flat top pistons? Flat top pistons cost the same as domes or dished. Why is this the decider? everyone uses racing fuel so that shouldn't matter. I'm just curious. no shaft rockers , steel heads, two barrel, etc ok. If you want to slow everyone down why not things like 500 cfm out of box holley and 2"output from headers. (also easier and quicker to tech) I don't know just thinking out loud now.

How would you ever tech a gear? Just saying no one would take a 9inch apart and take the time to see what gear you're really running and that is part of racing making different gear changes from week to week or even at the track

There is a way to check the rear gear it won't be exact but it will be close all u have to do is turn the tire 1 time and count how many times the yoke turns that can be done at the track

Dome pistons make higher compression equal to more horsepower. Keep them flat tops and keeps compression 9 to 1
