late models at pevely?

You're a SUPPORT class, and you'll be treated as such. You knew this when you started racing. Why are you b!tching now?

If you don't like it, there are other tracks that the premiere class is not a late model.

I guess I'm in the minority cuz the lm's are fourtrh on my list of favorite classes behind the mods, sportsman and street stocks. lol
I would like to see more lm's show up if for no other reason than to give the #00 more competition. Gets old seeing the same dude win.

Hey Pit guess what so are the other drivers at I55. The problem is that they dont have the equipment or motor or the money that Korte does. And YES the the fans are also getting tied of Korte winning all the time. As Dixon said 2 weeks ago WE will get him and soon. Good Luck Ed.

I like Ed, but if he said that, that's a mighty big prediction.

Not complaining springer just asking a question before making investment since there are not to many late model places on Saturday but most real racers don't call themselves support class they call themselves racers !

First I apologize for coming off as a jerk, that wasn't my intention.

I agree with your last statement. Racers are racers, no matter the class(though I don't consider pro4's REAL racecars). But the thing you have to understand is most fans come for the late models and modifieds. We are there to fill those spots in between. It ****s being part of the filler but that's racing.

That's also why i go to Springfield Raceway as much as possible. They have 3 classes of modifieds, and the top class is the a mods.

My favorite class? You guessed it, Modifieds.

Let me ask you so called die hard fans a question, if the mods went to what they was originally started out as how many of you die hard fans would go then? The mods started out years ago pretty much what the b mods are now! The late models was a steel block class! My opinion is if you have the money to be paying that kind of money for just a motor you need to be following a tour! The mods have a $550 engine claim! Why doesnt people use it? It would bring the cost down to a more even playing field! I mean seriously what average joe can afford a $20,000 motor and have 3 or 4 sitting around like harrison, schrader or wallace? If you start claiming these motors people would not build a motor of that value due to the fear of loosing it! I know i wouldnt. And if your a true die hard race fan you wouldnt care what vlass it is racing you would enjoy the whole night not just the lates or mods so if you thi k for 2 seconds youll be missed if the lates or mods go you saddly mistaken! That tells me your ot a true die hard race fan! And before you go popping your mouth of yes i sit through each and every race i attend! Why because i ENJOY RACING NO MATTER WHAT CLASS IT IS!

Get the burr out of your butt...How old are you, anyway? Don't call out the diehards if you're less than 30 years of age...Mark Faust retired, so who is your favorite now????? You need a new screen name...Do you attend races anywhere besides Highland? I won't miss you either..:):):)

Why you are getting defensive? Faustfan is right. The rules need to be choked, HEAVILY. Imagine if the b mods were the top modified class. Way less money going out with the same pay as the current A mods coming back. Sounds like a happier field to me.

You can "choke down" on rules all you want, but it will only slow the bleeding. This is called evolution. And its as true in racing as it is in any life form. Only the strongest will survive. But once the strongest have eliminated all their prey, they too will die off.

Basically my point is this argument is about 15 years too late (yes I'm only 24 but I've followed dirt racing literally my whole life). One vast improvement in any class would be tires. Put everyone on hockey pucks. We will find out who the best drivers are. They do this down south and put on a great show

To answer your question there pickle head im 39 years old and as for attending other tracks yep sure do was in pevely the other night when the summer nationals was there and as my job requires me to do alot of traveling i have attend numerous tracks around the country! Anything else you would like to know? I figure you being from bond county and living up by old ripley you would be the one confined to only highland! But seriously why dont you and hound go away you never post anything useful on here, all you two do is post to make it seem like you know something when in reality you know nothing Mike! Have a good day

What are you talking about? Cutting the cost of an engine program even in HALF would be leaps and bounds towards a closer, not to mention, bigger field.

It seems the average engine program for a UMP modified is $15-20k. I don't know how you to math but to me that's a big step. It's way easier to come up with $7500 as opposed to $15,000.

The engine isn't the only problem, but the biggest. 3 different compound tires are a problem too. The AR is a better tire, but TCS did the best they could without leaving UMP by eliminating the D.

ump has a spec engine must a motor they use on the east coast for mods 800 horse under 20 k

Yes putting an enforced engine rule in place would make a huge difference. But ill take a smaller spec motor over a powerhouse IF American racer tires are used (what I refer to as hockey pucks).

Fear not tho. Sooner or later Mr driggers and the talking heads of ump will be their own demise because of their mentally challenged tire program

And u KNOW how I do math. Four tires four turns. That's all I need to know!!!
