Let's just pretend Fredericktown is going to be open

Ok, pretending that Fredericktown Raceway is going to be open for 2006, here's what I think we should run.

1. Modifieds.. (Fredericktown is the best track around for the Mods)
2. Pure Streets.. (Pure Street class is the region's fastest growing class)
3. 4-cylinder class (This would be mini stock class that also would allow hornets and Pro-4 stocks to compete. RAMS basic rules)
4. Dwarf cars.. (The dwarfs we had at Fredericktown always put on a great show and deserve another shot)
5. Fastrak Late Models!! Yup... Our area would be a fantastic spot for the Fastrak late models to get their foothold...

What do you folks think about that lineup???
 
totally wicked if you ask me only thing I see is on the mini's if you allow fwd you will have to basically have two set of rules on for fwd and one for rwd.... for example the fuel injection part ... it all doable just got to get some guy to help make the rules for that new class.... it will grow... if somebody can go get a $100 escort and cage it to race you will have to run a b main becuase there would be so many:D JMO
 
I like it! But, even though each of the classes has plenty of fans, I'm not so sure about having all five classes each week. Leads to a long program as we saw at SFCR. And, the Rock starts 30 minutes later than SFCR, which wouldn't help either. Maybe three fixed classes and two that rotate. But, all that aside, I'd just LOVE to see racing at the Rock. Must say though, I did kinda like the sportsmen. Maybe the Fastrak Late Models will fill that void. I'm just not familiar with them. BTW, do you know something you're not saying, Millsey?
 
I'm excited about the Fastrack Late Models. Heck, I just love late models!!

I think Jeff's just wishing, but I'm wondering if we shouldn't all get on here and show our support so the VFW knows just how MUCH interest there is and they work with us to get this place open again. Would love to see Terry back in action again! He was well respected when he ran the place and he didn't run it in the ground.

Terry, if you get the chance to do it and the VFW lets you, I'll give you all the support I can!
 
We would love to see Fredericktown open again. I raced there in part of 97 thru 99. Got my first feature win there. And after many years of sitting in the bleachers, I have bought a modified and can think of no place better to go than Fredericktown. Trying to get my nephew started racing, and there'd be no place better to start him than here too. So if supports what youre looking for add 2 cars to your count. see ya

i think the fasttrack would draw too big of crowds for the stands they have now. im all for them if we had more stands but i just dont think ther is enuff room. but we should have the IMCA mods there for sure they would have a full field every night. we used to run there before it closed and id bet ya that some of the boys from SFCR would come down on friday nights to race the rock. i bet we would come back too if they opened it back up

millsey, tell the VFW or who ever owns the track to get it in gear and get us racing again, before most of the locals get used to no racing and then when we do get it going again they will complain at least thats what i would expect so no one get mad if they had differnt opion

I can only make one promise and that will be I'm going to do everything possible to get that track open. Of course I hope it would be with Terry Flanagan again, but no matter what I'm going to do my absolute best to insure that track reopens for 2006. The track is too important to the area for it to sit in weeds for absolutely no reason at all.
 
I Think It Would Be Nice If The Rock Returned. I Really Liked The Place. Its A Racey Little Joint To Say The Least. I Would Like To See Terry Get Another Shot At It Also. From What I Seen Of What He Done. I Give Him A Big E For Effort.. Sad Thing Is, I Believe He Was Definitely Making Progress With It. Then Bam!!!! The Gate Slammed Shut. He Put Up Good Money. The Track When We Were There Was As Good As Could Be Expected. He Seemed To Care What Racers Wanted And Thought. What More Could You Ask For. I've Never Ran A Race Track Before. But Have Been Around Enough To Know. It Takes Time To Get Everything Rolling Good. And To Develope A Base Of Cars And Fans. The One Thing I Think Terry Needed To Address Would Be Enforcing Conduct Rules On And Off The Track. Giving The Boot To The Bad Apple Will Keep The Basket From Spoiling! I'd Rather Piss Of One Than Piss Off All The Rest!

So Yes, Bring Back The Rock!!!!!
 
well if it open we better see some butt's helping terry like they said they would!!!!!!! we better be getting some timber cut soon for the bleachers...

MILLSEYYYYYYYYYYYY YOU KNOW ME I WILL DO WHAT I CAN DO. I DO KNOW MALDENS TRACK HAS "FADED AWAY" SO THOSE SOUTHERN BOYS WOULD LOVE A GOOD "FRIDAY NITE" TRACK. IT REALLY IS SAD TO LEAVE THAT TRACK SITTIN. I HAVE HAD MANY A GOODTIME ON A FRIDAY NITE @ TA ROCK <WINK>
 
You know, when we DO get the place open, I say we have a HUGE tailgate party, grill some meat and have a big ol' Friday night family gathering to celebrate!

hell id rather see it open back up as to go to farmington every saturday nite.....i say pit price shouldnt go over 20 bucks to keep it realistic...theres no reason tracks should charge 25 and 30 bucks, malden and bluff dont....why everywhere else??
 
The Rock

Our first year of dirt track racing (2004) was at the Rock, We considered it our home track. We will come back to race. It does need a lot,did I say a lot of improvement! Like BVT said it is a nice short drive. Racewidow have you been fighting for peace or WHAT, check below??? in a family way are you, sounds like a little girl to me.
