Let's just pretend Fredericktown is going to be open

i heard from a reliable source that the VFW kicked denny out because he hadn't paid his lease in 2 years and terry flannigan and gary montgomery have all but signed the lease. if they take over they will be putting a fence around the place and running sprint cars, mods and hobby stocks. dunno just what i heard. i hope so i just bought a mod and would love to race on it.

There is no way hobby stocks/sportsmen would be a part of things. I also have huge doubts about running sprints there. Modifieds would for sure be a huge part of the show along with the Pure Streets. After that I would say the Dwarfs, Mini Stocks and Fastrak Late Models have a good shot at making the cut.

Let's all just keep everything crossed that this comes through!!!!! Family has raced a lot of tracks here and out of State and I'll be the first one to admitt that "Fredrecktown Rules" My guys love racing their,so what if it's got some rock better to "Rock and Roll"! LOL See ya soon!

If I had my choice, I would love to see the Sportsmen back at Fredericktown but it just didn't work out the last time and with Farmington eliminating them it just doesn't make sense for Fredericktown to run them. But, maybe they could do some special shows at least.

Attention dwarfs, I think you guys have a great chance at running full-time at Fredericktown this year. Just get ready for the official word (which might come as soon as next week!!)

Lets Race

I know Mike (THE HALLOWEEN KID) MEYER will run there. He will be driving a IMCA next year for PRESTON TRUCKING out of Conway, ARK. Amazing how you can get a ride just by your name and ability to drive. Want to thank Millsey and the Rams for their support in the past years. Mike got his first feature win at the Rock, also triple crowned the same night. A great night to remember. The track was in great shape and fast. Millsey done a great job there anouncing. Hope to hear him next year if it does open up. Great track for the young guns in the mini's to start a career. Thanks to everyone involved HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM THE MEYER FAMILY JOe, Mike and Mom Meyer

Sorry Mun11 - haven't been on in a while & just saw your comment. You confuse me.

Joe - glad to hear you're doing better. Looking forward to seeing Mike in the IMCA - your boy has a lot of talent and I miss watching him race. Very nice to hear he's got a good sponsor behind him. I think we'll see him go far in racing! Happy holidays to you as well.

:) Guys can't wait when Fredericktown re-opens!I myself like to watch the pure street. Like all races but pure street is almost like the sportsman class used to be years ago. This is jumping off the subject we're on but let me ask you racers and fans about this. I think that some of the classes at different tracks just out priced their selves and lost out. Racers would ask for this and that extra and the prices of racing just got out of site. Who ever got lucky and put more money in car usually won. You know that's why a lot of drivers going back to pure street, some racers have priced others and their selves right out of a close track. Going back to the root of racing, they don't care if it's a pure street!! Their devoted racers and just want to have fun. Isn't any different if you win at sprint, mod, sportsman, pure street or any other race,it's still that rush of adrenalin! Think getting back to basics is where it's at. Well I've probably made several people mad but just think of what I've said and comments welcome,I'm a big girl and I can take it,have to "Racers Wife"!

I second what Chevy-Woman said!!!

It's too bad that what it takes is money to win these days. What ever happened to good old trial and error, skill, talent, KNOWLEGDGE of the car and motor, and research to find out what makes the cars run better as far as setup & motor changes????? Seems like there's a new wave of racing that's been taking over - I'd rather have the old days when it was know-how, work and ingenuity, not the amount of $$$ you put into your car.

I almost wonder if the pressure and the $$$ isn't making it more stressful for drivers and taking the fun out of it. Racing should be fun! I guess it depends on your goals for the season, but give me a guy who is out there having the time of his life and I'll give you a guy who hasn't wasted one red cent no matter how much or how little he spent on his car!

Lets go racing at The Rock in 2006 racing season. I am tried going long ways just watch racing on Friday Nights. The Rock is closer for me and my friends to. So yeah lets go racing please.

Purestreets with a motor buyout nice and clean ! mods and mini's Maybe a little ATV raceing ? The dogg has three cars this year would love to run them all back at " THE ROCK " :D

I think it would be a mistake for the Rock not to take a look at the multi's, just ask around, I bet some guys would be willing to drive a little bit to run there. Now bash me if you must!

"Pure Streets"

:) Guys I beleive that their's going to be a very large number of "Pure Streets" this year! We've talked to several racers and all are building pure streets. I think the count and amount of pure streets would count as 2 classes of cars. Hope they don't get to many classes going with all the pure streets might be a very long night.:D

Being A Sportsman Diver I Would Love To See The Sporstman Class Back At The Rock. About The Closest Place For Us Is Belleville On Fridays. I'm Sure With All The Crap That Happened Up There This Year We Could Draw A Good Crowd.

The New one on the way!

Let's hope we hear something soon! My fingers are still crossed & I'm doing the "The Rock's gonna open" dance!!!
