i'm at the track most sat. and to take up for the f5 i watch and think he is a pretty good driver no major wrecks he has won in the heat but not the feature so how can you say he is cheatin when pretty much the same persons gets feature every sat.good luck fish man and the 2 crumps.prayers are with all drivers.konradwell watch him at another track and see how he does HE ****S!!!!!!!
 
Not trying to start any more drama, but an Escort is a pretty damn good 4 cyl car to race with.

If anyone remembers, in '02 I won quite a few races(in a row, even) with my 1993 Escort.. NON GT, automatic. Hell my worst finish(aside from the night I was taken out, was 5th or 6th! Even that was when they had A LOT of pro 4's at TCS).

At I-55 I won.. I don't know how many.. lol.

Escorts are actually a VERY good car. The ONLY thing I did to that car was add a rear strut bar.

Cheating, huh?


And if anyone wants.. I'll start policing the Pro 4's. :-D I don't have a Pro 4, anymore :)

Jeff, kinda confused here, :confused: I redid your old cage for Rob, & put it in my daily driver car with your motor. Didn't get to see much of it after that, (other than it's final flip at I-55) but, I really couldn't see 199 hp...... factory specs for a stocker is 88 hp.....factory specs for the HO is 108 hp ( I have one) Aluminum flywheels & shaving weight don't increase hp #'s, only enhance what's there. All the tweaking I can do on my Tempo 2300 won't come anywhere near a 91 hp increase you're claiming. Not saying anything derogatory, But.........maybe the dyno was off a little????? ( I WOULD like to see those dyno sheets) Anyhow, good luck getting back out, you wanna' dyno your next ride, I know a guy in Dupo with 2 mustang dynos who'd be glad to test your's & mine too (for a fee, naturally). hey crash the motor you guys got from me wasnt the motor im talken about. that motor was pretty much stock. we had a car befor that one. my brother let that motor freeze and bust no anti freeze .that 1.9 motor in my green car was a low miler like under 70,000 .
 
Pevely has never taken the 4 cyl classes seriously, and in my opinion, the obvious things that have been allowed to race there unchecked is a slap in the face to all of those who build cars and support the track. I havent been there in over a year and a half but from what I read and hear things havent changed much. Pevely isnt the only track like this, I have lived and raced all over the country and for the most part its the same song to a different beat. Promoters need to wake up and realize that most racers dont start off with a street stock or modified anymore because the price to prize ratio has become rediculous. Tracks need to nourish the racing at the 4 cyl level if they plan on having quality racing in the future, not all of us have fathers who can afford to finance a modified for us and so there is something to be said for a competitive race car that can be built for $2500. We dont race for money at this level, the cash that is won helps, but it in no way pays for the car, I have never heard of a professional mini-stock driver and hope I never do, every driver I know at this level races for the love of competition and bragging rights. The others will spend more money to race but will never race any harder than we do. I just hope that tracks start to realize that we pay the same amount to get into the pits as the late models and our freinds, family and fans spend the same amount at the gate as everyone else, and I say if you cant take the class seriously then try to get the late models to pack your track.

I think it's crap you guys are putting money into these pro 4's, hornets.. whatever you want to call them.

This is an ENTRY LEVEL class. You're NOT supposed to do that kinda crap to the car. I think the general idea is to put a cage in the car, take all the glass/plastic off and go racing!

Any car or truck with a single cam 4 cylinder engine may be run. Must be completely stock as manufactured, engine, drive train, suspension and fuel system, except as noted below.

Now call me crazy, but that doesnt consist of doing ANYTHING to the engine. Some of you guys are RUINING THE CLASS.

unless a allied official tells me my car is illegal then and only then ,will i worry about it. if some one can look at a motor and see the head has been shaved or that a three angle valve jobs been done with out taken those parts off then they need to be worken for nascar . i dont remember those mustangs coming from the factory with those AFTER MARKET NOSES. BTW "CRASH9" YOULL SEE ME BACK......THE BACK OF MY RACSCORT..LOL HE HE HE. JUST JOKING......
 
Well personally, if I were my grandpa I would be tearing down those cars..

What bothers me, is the fact that one of the officals KNOWS that someone in one of those mustangs are cheating, and they won't do a damn thing about it.. Thats why when the car I'm helping build comes out, it WON't be at pevely very often..

Does cheating take away from the feeling you get when you win?
Why the hell would you spend so much money to cheat in a class that pays with TROPHIES?!

Aaron, yes the track has been some what dry slick, one night it was very dry after the hot laps it looked like they had ran all features but thats ok with me thats exactly how i like it. i sure hope that the water trucks break down.

As far as the rest of these post. People im not trying to take sides but this is a self policing class and that is why there is a claim rule. And trust me the way it sounds it will start happening very soon even though some people seem to be unclaimable, no names metioned here im trying to go for that respect thing. HA HA.

Crash i hope you just are pissed now and will cool down and be back to I-55 your a great guy and fun to race with as well as your dad. Just keep dailing that tempo in you have been getting much faster.

FYI - I take pride in running where i do with a stock car usaully in the top five. The season is still early, be consistent and keep tweaking.

And I agree with running in the top 5 EVERY night w/ a completely stock car.

As far as a self policing class because of the claim rule..

The UMP Mods were like that once.. now look at them.. some guys spenidng in the upper 20 thousands of dollars to run for $500..

That rule has good intentions, but never really works.

XTREME, the offical I'm talking about.. I don't actually know what he does.. I've never seen him do.. well.. anything.

Ralph is the tech. They need a class specific tech, because, in my opinion, this class is getting out of hand.
