MARA Midgets at Belle-Clair SUNDAY!!

34 gfmf when you refer to stockcar racing as door slammers, you insult and alienate most of the stlarea racing comunity.

What dirthound is saying mostly is that nothing compares to the DREAM at Eldora, wich is were he will be, and I wish I would be.

Honestly if you have seen Multis race, have seen midgets on TV, and have raced or watched Latemodels at Belleville, you know that those little cars are going to put on one hell of a show at Belleville, but it wont be anything like the Pevely nationals, or The Dream.

I always thought that "door slammers" where considered to be dragsters? You know, if you left the doors open when the car leaves the line they would slam. I don't think I've ever heard stock cars every refered to as door slammers!

As for the midgets and micros? I think they're awesome!!!! I've seen late models and modifieds at Belleville, and while they put on a great show there I'd much rather watch midgets and micros there. Hell, the track was made for those cars wasn't it? I like to see cars be able to stretch their legs a bit. Those little cars do just that on that little bullring!

And lastly, and this is just my opinion, if it has 4 wheels, drives on dirt in circles, and has to turn the wheel right to go left then I'm all about watching it!!!! Wings or not! Dirt track racing is dirt track racing to me! Don't really matter what kinda cars they are as long as they meet the above criteria!!!

Oh this is going to kill me...but... I have been to several MARA shows over the last few years and they have been very good shows. I was really suprised how fast the show moves, you know, push starting all the cars. I have helped in the pits (Kenny Brown) and have watched from the stands. Everytime has been enjoyable. Ok Art, I have said it Ok Ok OK! Does anyone have any minty fresh Scope? LOL

Dean,

I respect your opinion that the Dream is the best race for you, but us people who just don't care for the full bodied stuff differ with you. Personally I think the best race of the year is the sprint car Short Track Nationals in Little Rock.

One question for you...If the Dream is such a great race why aren't you there?

I also think any dirt race on a 1/2 mile or bigger track is BORING no matter what type of car. If I want to watch follow the leader big track stuff I'll force myself to watch NAPCAR.

also on the schedule (to demonstrate during intermission) are several cars/drivers from greenville i-70 quarter midget assn. they are going to display several cars out front,so everyone can get a close-up view of the cars, and see them out on the track also. they aren't going to race, though. come by early before the races start and talk to the people 'in the know' about quarter midget racing. it's a whole lot safer than riding their bicycle down the street!!!

nothing like seeing 144 cars ofthe same class pack in the track at one time ,try that a bville lmaoisthe circus doing it's thing tonight

WELL, TO EACH THEIR OWN. IT TAKES ALL KINDS TO MAKE THE WORLD GO AROUND. I AM A STOCK CAR FAN! DON'T BASH MINE I WON'T BASH YOURS, IS THE WAY I LOOK AT IT!!!!! THE WoO IS USUALLY THE ONLY FORM OF RACING I AM NEGETIVE TOWARDS. THATS NOT BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY RACE, BUT FOR THEIR WE ARE KING ATTITUDE WHEN THEY TAKE OVER A TRACK!!!!!!

hey hound... did ya go to ohio to see a race,or to see 144 cars do some mud-packing??? i bet you do some mud-packing of your own!!

Good show at Belleclair, smooth operation, really slick work on the part of all the officials to keep it moving. Had a great time, and would recommend the MARA midget show to anyone. Thanks for a fun night at the track.

Of Course Iseen A Race Any Other Track Wouldve Cancelled The Whole Weekend, the Real Amazing Thing Midget Racer Was 144 Cars On The Track And Not A Push Truck Insight Imagine That

Go Back And Get Some Coffee ,found A Heck Of Good Use For A Wing On A Sprint Car,goodplace To Put Stereo Speakers, what Midget Racer Midgets Don't Have Starters Because They Can't Afford One Is That True Or Can't Fiqure Out How To Hook One Up Lmao

thanks for the complement todd. the fans deserve to see a good, quickly run show, and we try to do just that. we got 80 cars ran ,and done before 10 pm. that includes re-prepping the track. kudos to brian thompson, and the track crew for deciding to re-prep the track. hope the fans enjoyed the show. we welcome comments/suggestions. i have a question... what did everyone think of the kids and the 1/4 midgets??

Great show last night. I think it is great to give the kids a chance out there on the "Big" track. Should of let them race a little.

'letting them race a little' would have been impossible. almost all of them cars raced that afternoon on a concrete oval,so they had the pavement setup and gearing on the cars. you also saw several different classes all at once, engine size and type,,drivers' age, restictor plate size, drivers' experience level, all get their own class. also, geared and driven properly, those cars would have absolutely flew on that track. make no mistake, these cars are genuinely racecars, they just look like toys. the smiles on those kid's faces after they got done was worth a million bucks. most complained about not going fast enough. typical racers. hehe.

hey art pretty good show.what happened to the little guy who hit the tire.he hit really hard.it looked like his throttle stuck and he went outa control.anyways hope he was ok. hey whats the age limit on a car like yours ?i have a driver who needs a car cause he keeps steelin my car and racin it on my track.lol

Midget Racer is right. The I-70 QMA Quarter Midget's weren't geared and set up for that type of and size of track.
But, those kids loved every minute of the experience! :) :D :) :D
They were thrilled to drive on the same track that many of their Hero's were racing on.
Thanks again MARA, and in particular Art Knepper ( & Jen) , for giving us the opportunity to promote our club at your event.

The little guy is really a Little Girl. Her Name is Mallory Daum and she is fine.
No throttle problems, she was just being aggressive.

Boys and girls ages 5 thru 15 compete in various classes depending on age, weight, and different size and style of engines. Visit our web site for more information.

Art thanks for letting the kids come out. We really had a great time. You guys put on a first class show. It was Zach's first "big" Midget show, and he talked about it all the way home. (He also complained a little about not being able to go faster....those kids are racers through and through!) Glad Mallory is ok, I wasn't sure exactly what happened.

Dog, you really need to find another post to carry on your personal war with Art. You've acted like a jerk on here many times before, but this is an all new LOW for you. Just shut your mouth for once and grow up.
