MCS Closed For Season

it was really sad saturday to see it close we all have been waiting it was a time bomb the last two years but this year it got really bad! it was a great track! couldnt ask for better fans or racers they were the truest people you will ever meet! and everyone on here pointing fingers economy or owners who give a crap!!!!!!!! nothing is going to change now so why do the whole point the finger thing its closed over and done with! hopefully someone will come along and buy it! its a great track and everyone loves it! thanks to mcs the racers, emt's, officials, fans, and everyone for all their hard work and support over the years! it was much appreciated! hopefully we will get new owners in there soon! see you all at different tracks! oh ya does anyone know where our ministocks will b legal? thanks!

Doe Run runs your class (mini stock) My boyfriend Kyle ran up there last year (Yellow pinto #10) but Doe Run is a great track to be apart of. Everybody is so friendly and willing to help out another driver. I drive back every friday night from lake of the ozarks just to watch them all race. They run Multis, Go Carts, B Mods, and Mini Stock. Sometimes they run A Mods and vintage cars and sportsman.

ok thank you! we will probably try to get down there at least once but me workin fridays makes it really hard to go anywhere! thank you though!

Hey dumb *** those people paid to race or watch a race not practice plus its not hard to hand cash back to people as they walk out just like MCS stole it as they walked in.

Why was the decision made not to race this past Saturday? No pay? Not enough cars showed to put on a show? Weather?


I really hate to hear racing at MCS has come to an end… It was a GREAT place to be for several years after it opened.
 
we didnt race because del said people were *******ing. he saw rob and joey p leave and got mad said they dont want to race here fine but they are running for points and there wasnt going to be enough a mods for them to get full ump points and when you are close to someone in points thats important shoot i would have done the same thing! del just saw things different! it is a shame they closed but maybe this will get more people interested in buying it! mcs was a great track and great people! i know i have said that a lot but i cant say it enough!

for once, ill agree wit you, Eatdirt. :)

and we didnt run because not enough cars.

dont think that the line of trailers outside the pits helped at all some ppl saw that and kept driving.

and the track was the best i drove on since ive been racing there on saturday

Plus Test & Tune to get in pits usually is 10 bucks.
 
Sorry to hear that the track is closing. I'm sure this did not end the way Mel wanted, but he deserves a lot of credit for sticking out his neck to build a track from the ground up after St. Charles Speedway closed. It is a great little track, so hopefully it will be up and running again next season.

I agree! If you are canceling for lack of cars, why not just tell the people to line up and get your money back.Obviously wasn't many there. Don't dog a guy for wanting his money back. $30 bucks I'm sure means more to that guy than a guy who owns something he's trying sell for a million bucks!!:rolleyes:
 
if u guys r cryin bout 30 bucks we got 2 make laps at the courtesy of mel & if u were there I turned the kids car around & got hammerd guess what that cost me!!!!!
