MCS Is Being Sued as "PUBLIC NUISANCE"

this is a bunch of bs. Why dont they just leave the poor guy alone. I love msc it is a good track.Hang in there mell it will be ok we will see to this falling in your favor. I can not believe greety people.So when does this go to trial?What can we as racers do to help? I will do anything i can to help mel out.I think they need to just settle this out side the court like(Mel thump a knot on there heads for them) good luck mel
 
Settle what? This should have never made it to court in the first place. It's just another situation where a certain person, who has political favors gets a judge to hear his side. Lets it drag it feet in the "discovery and motion process". And hopes the little guy will cave. I dont think anyone has to use the word boycott, it's as simple as racers using their conscience to decide. As long as a certain other track owner can manage to wave money in the faces of drivers, this will continue. im not bashing drivers. But i must restate. Why would someone try to close down a track on the grounds of nuisence, when he himself owns a track. Kind of sounds like politics and hipocracy. This is what we dont need in racing. It is supposed to be our break from work, the day to day B.S., and all the other things we dislike during the week.
 
7H - I whole-heartedly agree with you about racers using their conscience to decide where to race. Unfortunately, there are the loyal subjects who can't see that they are being snowed by the same people who claim to be their friends. Lame excuses like "it wasn't me, it was my partners" may work for some people, but not for me. It just doesn't add up any way I try calculate it. If that were really true then why is our friend still the lead named plaintiff. He could have dismissed his interest in the lawsuit months and months ago or even before it was filed at all. The plaintiffs are named individually and not as a partnership as they would have you believe. I'll tell you why he is still the lead named plaintiff . . . . oh no I won't you can figure it out for yourself. It has been repeated over and over that there is something to the story that the rest of us don't know. Okay, then why not spill it and tell the whole truth if there is really some detail of the story that we don't know or don't understand. There has been ample opportunity, including radio air time, to tell the whole truth and still nothing of any real substance other than to say "it's not me, it's my partners". How much more politics and hipocrasy does one need to be convinced. (I picture Richard Nixon with this hands making peace signs telling the world that it wasn't him it was his partner - does anyone else see this image?) I won't be holding my breath waiting to hear the "truth" from these people any time soon and I also won't be attending their track next year either. I will be using my conscience when I decide who will be getting my hard earned money. AND I CERTAINLY WON'T BE CALLING IT A BOYCOTT.


For some reason I just can't manage to keep my mouth shut on this thread. . . . try as I might. I just can't leave it alone.

It seems that after ALL this time,it would / should have gone to trial by now.Obviously there have been continuances most likely by the plaintiffs to drag this on.I would be interested to know the reason why the motion to dismiss was not granted by Judge Sutherland.Politicians in these third class counties need to be carefully scrutinized come election time.
 
I asked Mel if had the radio interview and that news story from Karam taped. Did anyone else catch how Gundaker said he liked Mel and " I even let him park cars on our property FREE". Then Karam said on TV “The guy parks all over our property without permission”!!!!!!! They should have at least got all their lies strait before an interview don’t you think!!!!!!!!!!! Mel went out of town for the Fast Track show, Ill find out the new date this weekend and let you all know. Maybe will have to pack the court house for starters!!!!!

PS: Funny, two post going one of a track ready to be shut down, another of a track making great improvements. At least we all know what’s important???????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I not taking sides, but haven't we been through this before? I thought Karam was the devil behind this.
 
If you think that Gundaker is not involved in this you have not been paying attention.
If Gundaker is not involved in trying shut MCS down lets see him prove it.

Actions speak louder than words!!!

is there a petion we can sighn or something to help if so please pm me the details so i can get in on this i live in warrenton and mcs is the nerest track to me and then pevely and i go to both so if anyone finds out who filed the suite and if theres a petion pm me and lets save this track lets dont let it be another st.charles speedway

well if it is gundaker this will be a hard one to fight , gundakers got millions at his disposal and i think hes involded and what happend i thought i herd mell was trying to find a way to get ahold of carl edwards to buy the track or something

Why in the world would Carl Edwards be interested in buying a track which is in (and has been for years) litigation? LOL Another rumor...........

And yes Gordon Gundaker is one of the four petitioners on the suit.
 
Edwards has been quoted as wanting to buy or build a track in Mid Missouri, I think it was in reference to a Karting track but I'm not sure? I doubt he'd be interested in MCS, but if Mel can talk to him about it and somehow pull it off, It would be the greatest thing to happen to Mel. Mel is not so good at getting publicity himself. Having Edwards name, even if only as a minor partner would get it Nationwide attention!!!

There are 4 people involved, all 4 are equals in the suit, all 4 are behind it no-matter what lies are told here, on the radio, or on the TV.

The Four are:
Charles Karam
Gordon Gundaker
Mark Brown
Barbara Ritchey
 
Just to let everyone know, Mel's Lawyer called my Dad last week, wanting to know
if he would like to purchase the racetrack from him!! He declined.
Asking Price - $1,200,000

Not really a NEW concept in hardball business but... I’m sure it will be much cheaper to purchase the property, once legal fees have drained the resident business out of any capital.
