Michael Kloos

Yeah and Scott James who has won multiple big shows and has a lot of talent spun out battling for the lead in the feature. My point is it happens. Im sure he will lose sleep because you think he is less than great. Get over yourself.

exactly he is doing alright at local tracks. How about that last corner wed night of the heat and spins out. All he had to do was hold his line and he was in. But no drove it in to hard and looped it. I do agree he was fast in hot laps wed night but did you see how hard he was throwing that car in there. you just knew he was going to spin the car out at some point.

2008 UMP Southern Regional Champion
2008 Belleclair Speedway Track Champion.
Feature wins at 3 different tracks.

WTF do you want from this guy? We're talking about a regular guy who works a regular job that races on the weekends. You can go into the pits on any given race night at any track he's running and find 75 other local drivers who would love to have the same success that Kloos has.

believe it or not, not everyone aspires to be a national late model icon. and its kind of hard to do when you have a regular 9-5 job. I know plenty of local drivers that have struggled(ie: Bryan Collins) and I don't get on here and bash them. they're trying to find something that works...they have 3 or 4 different chassis types that they have tried out.

as for Wednesday night, whatever he was doing obviously worked for the first 9 laps. I was watching the leaders so I didn't see what happened.

there are too many bleacher drivers on this site anymore.

Again Thunder

Hey Thunder where did you finish last night, just wondering?

Jason Davinroy

I echo Jason's question. Where did you finish last night.... or any other night for that matter.

Did it ever occur to you that local guys enjoy racing locally and when they get the chance to make the "big show" they give it a try?

Let me know where you have finished behind the wheel of a late model during the summer nationals and I will pipe down if you have ever finished ahead of Michael.

I assume that you pretty much sit in the stands and pass judgement. To that I say, "Buy one, get in, strap in, win, and STFU!"

Man, what a lousy driver Kloos must be to be one behind Dennis Erb Jr. in the National UMP Late Model standings. Damn, the poor kid must have no talent at all.

i dont know if i would call weidner a talent

Stupid comment... - I would like to know why people continue to get on here and bash others.... These are local drivers that are giving it their best every week and continue to get bashed on this site. If you think you can do better why don't you give it a try?

Both Michael and Matt have track championships. In my opinion, that does not constitute a lack of talent.

If you would like, I would be more than happy to discuss each of their racing success with you in person.... Georgina Weidner

Kloos is Kloos... He's a 20 something year old that is out there driving a Late Model with some of the top drivers in the country! If he drives over his head or has a brain fart once in awhile.... SO WHAT!!! Everyone who has driven a Late Model has done it!

One thing is for sure you can't take the track championship and feature wins away from him!!

Get off of his back!

And good luck the rest of the season Kloos Racing team

I think kloos is doing fine. And I would definately say that weidner does have talent. You may be confusing talent with a fast car. Its hard to win with just talent and no extreme equipment to go with it.

Kloos was pretty fast lastnight had a transfer spot and just looped it in turn 4 on the last lap. I do believe he has wins at highland and belleville this year. Im going to say i think he will make the show at highland wed. I also believe he owns one of those cars he drives. Kinda hard to lose your ride if u own it.

probably by provisional though.

We'll see how far close he is to erb at the end of the season.

Erb runs the entire summer nationals tour plus he runs as many big UMP shows that he can find. The higher car counts make him eligible for bonus points. You're comparing apples to oranges if you compare Erb's UMP points to Kloos's UMP points.

This just says more for Kloos. Kloos Is that close in points to Erb and isnt always eligible for the bonus points that Erb may.

Actually, it doesn't say more for Kloos. The points are given without regards for the level of competition. Car counts provide for bonus points.

Seriously, comparing Kloos to Erb makes no sense. They run two completely different programs with completely different goals. Kloos is a weekend warrior. Erb is a professional. There's a big difference.

Instead of ripping on the guy, it's better to just point out the obvious - he does better/his driving style works better for him on the smaller tracks (ie. Highland and Belleville). Plus, with the amount of laps he's put in at those tracks, he knows what he needs to do set-up wise and is probably more comfortable than at granite or pevely. Just my 2 cents worth.

true, but i would like to see him give a different local guy a chance with that great equipment, see how someone else can do with it

Micheal's dad Rick drove for gerstners for years, or @ least were sponsered by them. I don't see micheal getting the boot anytime soon. He does alright when he's on the bottom and can bull dozer his way past someone. ( like @ smaller tracks like belleville where there is no room for late models anyhow). On the bigger tracks you have to be smooth and run consistant laps thats where he has trouble, along with alot of others.

but kloos doesnt face as tough competition all the time like erb does
Good point. I just think the guy is better than what he is getting credit for. Weidner also. I think he has talent but it is hard to get a feature win these days. Look at the stats on Highland, Almost 300 drivers since 06 and less than 30 different feature winners.
