Promotion! Promotion! Promotion!

I wish everyone at Fredericktown Raceway the best of luck but it is lacking some promotion. Most of the time the only place you read anything about Fredericktown Raceway is on this Fredericktown message board. The people at Fredericktown and on this forum already know what is going on, you need to let the rest of the racing world know what is going on as well. There are plenty of places to post information about the Rock on this website as well as many others. The general discusion board here gets alot of views daily. A weekly press release sent to Jimmy Dearing to post on the front page would help. There is a 4cyl message board on here, a sportsman/street stock forum, a modified forum, the general discusion forum as well as upcoming events forum......the copy & paste deal works well, just flood the boards so people know what is going on. I did this to get the Crate Late Models off the ground in our area. The old saying goes...."The squeeky wheel gets the grease". There are also other message boards you can post info for free at, including the following.... www.4m.net (plenty of forums there) www.midsouthracing.com and www.racingcorner.com just to name a few. Promotion .....

As we all know Millsey always took care of that. But folks... Jeff is not here ! Another promotional tool that we are missing is the " Driversseat " It was the perfect way to promote all the local tracks. Anne and Curly, I KNOW this is difficult for the two of you,. And YES, we dont understand all the expenses in running a track but please keep the faith and remember you have a special angel that is watching over you. ( Millsey and angel in the same sentence :eek::D hahaha ) There is so many fans and drivers that just have a love for this track. It is a special place for me as everyone knows. If i can help at all.... even maybe give you some tricks that Jeff did i would be glad to help. You all know how to find me ..... As far as the meeting tonight, i TOTALY agree with Crystal. One of the owners needs to be present. If i was going to be there , i dont want to hear from others, i want to hear from YOUR mouth what is going on. LD :)

Attention! Tonight's Meeting Will Be Held By Danny Reisinger For B-mod And Pure Street Drivers. Other Drivers In The Other Classes Are Welcome. Track Official And Owners Do Not Need To Be There. This Is Something Danny Wanted To Try To Do And He Has Our Blessing. Tony, Crystal , Jp. Do Not Need To Attend. As Soon As Danny Lets Us Know How It Went, We Will Call You. Promise!
 
Hmmmm...

Well, if track officials "do not need to be there" then I will be there as a voice for ALLLLLLLLLL of the guys (especially b-mods) who have called or pm'd me in the last few days. I WILL be there b/c some of them can't and ALL asked me to come! Sorry if I'm not welcome, but I WILL be there...even if it's not as an official/employee. Which, by the way, I think SOMEONE who represents the track needs to be there. Otherwise, how is ANY definite decision going to be made. B-mod and pure street drivers want to know why they are being singled out (at a meeting led by an A-mod driver). Are these the classes that the purse has been decided to be "cut down" in? That is the question I have heard a hundred times today.
Sorry if I'm making anyone mad, but when my cell phone rings off the hook AGAIN for the next two days, I want to be able to give guys some answers.
 
Do you guys think we may be being a little selfish here... I'm sure Curley and Ann would not have put the statement out to close the track unless they were down to their last straw. Are we pressuring them to keep the track open with the chance of just putting them further in the hole. I personnely do not know either of them, but racing is racing and not life or death, and at the same time I wouldn't want to put them in a position of going even further in the hole for my "Hobby". I say if they can't afford to finish the season then let it close so they can get themselves headed in the right direction for next year. I want to race Friday just as bad as the next guy but not at putting them in that position..... JMO!!

I agree with Bill on what he said above, thanks to your family for reviving the track. I can only imagine the roller coaster of emotions Anne, Curley, and the track officials have been on. Jon Reando

I Would Like To Just Say Thank You This Year Of Racing Anne And Curley. I Would Like To Let You Know I Support Your Decision Either Way For The Rest Of The Year. If Things Are Tough Right Now For You Regroup And We All Need To Come Back Next Year Strong. So What Ever Your Decision Is We (5, 25, 99) B-mods Will Be Back Next Year Hopefully Better And Stronger Like The Track Will Be. We Learned Alot About Racing This Year And You All Learned As Owner The Good And Bad. So Good Luck And We Will Be There Next Year To Support The Track 100%. Paul Will
 
Tonight's Meeting

I did not get the memo that I did not need to be there until now. I did think it was important enough for me to be there any way.

It was decided that the drivers will be racing this Friday night.

I would like to personally thank the 70 or so people that showed up - just as a person. Yes I was shocked to see that many. Makes me happy to see that many showed up and there is still support for the track that so many want to continue to race this season.

Again --- Thank You to the drivers and good luck to you all Friday Night at the ROCK!!!!

I have to agree the Promotion Promotion Promotion is the answer.
If anyone knows business's that they go to them and ask for $$$$$.

Take what you can get . And remember you have to ask 100 people to get 25 donors... I wish this place the best of LUCK. It's hard to sink everything you own into a business and have it struggle.

Hang in there it takes several years to establish a good relationship with the community as well as the business's. It will take more than 1 person to achieve this goal. It will take a whole lot of people and their connections to accomplish this. With that said......
