move the chili bowl.

The floor space of the dome is only 104,800 sq ft. If it was 1,710,430

that would be almost 40 acres under roof. The Dome only has 12 acres

under roof.

it 's put by lanny edwards who is from those parts sponserd by oreilly auto parts corporate home is springfield mo you getting the picture or do need more light

Seeing that this is the first year in about 4 years that I will not be going to the chili bowl I thought this tread might be intresting, I was wrong...lol... The promoters have exactly what they want, packed house, no TV deal, and the best dirt racers in the country going to this deal.

best dirt racers in the country

is billy moyer or scott bloomquist going to be there? Then according to everyone in the st.louis are the best dirt racers in the country aren't gonna be there. LOL. if you don't drive a late it must be fake. from what I hear.
Personally I think that tv can't keep up with mdgets on a quarter mile how are you going to have to washed up guys talking about tire wear if they are going to cover the race? If they did have it it would be terrible camera views to make it unappealing to the dirt people. just like tv ruins the WOO sprint cars

first: i think that what you hear must be from those melvin and masters fans. you dont need to be a latemodel driver to be the best at what you do. everyone in the STL area must be a real albert einstein type of person to right? o hell no!!!! the best racers in the field will be those who made the main show. none of this, "well if this person or that wouldn't have had a flat or crashed, they would be there". nope, dont work that way.

second: there is no way in hell that the chilli bowl will be moved. any of the "big shoes" know better then to move it anywhere but tulsa. it is almost like saying the daytona 500 should be held at say, kansas, or chicago. well, i have been to kansas and for having to park in a field, that place i know $uck$. i dont want my car/truck to be stuck in mud if it happens to start raining. never been to chicago so i cant comment on it :D just an example. so no, it shouldnt be moved. tulsa is the HOME of the chilli bowl and needs to stay there. even if i never get a chance to see it cause its so far away, so be it. i will never go to watkins glen either. no big deal to me.

the concret floor of the edward jones dome is 107000 sq ft and expo building is 440000. And if it was in the edward jones dome it wouldn't be the chili bowl

the latest rumor is that the chilibowl will move to texas. possibly devil's bowl speedway. one of the chilibowl promoters, lanny edwards, owns devils bowl speedway. just a rumor.

i doubt the chili bowl is goin newhere cause of tradition. they took the rodeo from tulsa to las vegas though so i guess anything can happen and will happen but for my sake i hope it doesnt

tradition means nothing. especially if $ are involved. tradition was that the indy 500 was the only race held at indy. now there is the 500, a nascar race, an iroc race, a f-1 race(such as it is), a toyota atlantic type race. don't be suprised if they test the new silver crown cars there.. any company will tell you that tradition is the biggest obstacle to progress there is. the chilibowl, as it is now, has outgrown the tulsa building. i think a change of venue is gonna happen.
