New Class @ Bedrock

complaining

You seem to be doing a lot of the complaining. When it comes down to it you should have built your motor to fit the rules in place. If you didnt want to do that you should have waited until the next rules meeting and tried to change them then. This should not be done like you are doing it. Andy

Ok, lets just keep building antiquated stuff ..where's my model T at anyway??? Strictly going by the rules> There is no 10hp flathead in existance that will even come close to making as much hp a 125cc sudam so, whats thier point with giving the smokers an advantage? Do you have something against building an engine that will outperform the old flatty stuff? As far as changing rules to accomidate 1 kart, that might just add up wayyyy less complaining! Maybe you just want less competition..i dont! I know progression is tough for some to deal with!

First off, i didn't build my engine to race at Bedrock! Secondly, i am not the one that made the rules stating the track was having a rwyb class so, please don't kill the messenger! Third, if you don't like the new rwyb rules then race the old 10hp/150cc class with all the "other" guys. I only post for Frank..he is tierd of all the complaining about the rules in outlaw.

outlaws

1st do you people like talking about bedrock on stlracing. do you know they have there own site????????????
2nd the rules have been in place for 8 years. so how is it 1 phone call changes the rules??????????????
right now you have a guy leading the points standing with a illegal motor, gets some of the purse every week, now you are going to make him change classes, dose his points carry over to the rwyb class???????????????
if you give answers to these question, i will answer them on www.bedrockraceway.com

Larry, do you agree something needs to be done about the rules? Thats where the rwyb comes in..man, just imagine never having to argue about engine rules again!

rwyb

Dustin I have checked out Bedrocks website and have found nowhere it says rwyb I have found outlaw and there rules. So where is it you keep bringing up rwyb. I understand you want things changed but do it in a proper way.

I'm pretty sure Frank has not changed the rules for the Outlaw class.

My guess is he's added a RWYB class for the folks that aren't Outlaw legal. I know he'll run any class you can make if three or more karts show up.

The two guys with the OHV motors will most likely change back to their flathead motors and still race and win in the Outlaw class. That'll leave Da and any others to run the RWYB class. If the two OHV's don't want to change then they can run with Da in the RWYB.

Personally, I'd rather run them all together....the more karts on the track the more fun it is.

you are correct ..this was the subject and opening statement!

Guys,
Frank wants to give a new class a try...it will be a RWYB "Outlaw" Class. The current 10hp/125cc class will be racing also. He is wanting to start the new, more diverse class to increase kart count so he can pay more!

The best for Last...he wants to also change from Fridays to Saturdays soon if everyone agrees on it for this year only. So,everyone please call Frank and tell him we want saturdays and to thank him for all his work. Anyway, let's get those 390's, 305 strokers, 135cc Sudams, Wankels(lol) and Lawnmower engines tuned up beacuse we have real track to run "legal" at now!!!!!!

#1 opening statement sugests that 305, & anything that is over 125 is not legal??????? this is false, anything that is up to 150cc in 2 stroke is legal, stroked 305 is legal. 390 Honda upon further investgation has a 9.5 hp version & a 11 hp version so therefore it is questionable whether it is legal or not. Also you opening post sugests that there is more than 1 kart
in question & there is not.
#2 how is spliting a class going to increase payout,& increase comptetion
?????

#3 You maybe right about a 10 HP flat head not making the HP a 125 can make but the 125 will never make the TORQUE old model T flat head can.
#4 I dont beleve the 2 strokes have a advanage over the 4strokes due to the TORQUE factor stated above & looking at the history of Bedrock & Coulterville, seems to me that the old model T flathead has been pretty dominate.
#5 I have no Problem with builing engines that out perform the flatheads, if you where to read the RULES it states 10 hp block not 10 hp flat head, this opens up all kinds of doors( Honda, Briggs, Tecumseh,Kohler,Subaru) including ohv engines.
#6 Asfar a changing the rules for 1 kart I is still bull **** will only add up to less of a kart count, I have seen it happened before, & hopfully not again.
#7 as far as the competetion & progreesion remark Well My guess is some guys on some of those old model T Flat head are going give you more competetion than you can handle & help your progression to the rear of the field. If wanted less competetion I would do just what you are doing start another uneeded class to run something totally differtent so that I could hopffuly excell in it. I would hope in the not to distant future that there will be enough OUTLAW karts that we would have to limit the feature to 12 to 14 karts thru a series of heat races. LIke I said in my previous reply , Bring IT Race it lets see what happens, may not need any further discussion,

Over & Out

To start off with Scott, how about not trying to come off as a jerk>>>and a know it all! I never said one word about my engine yet, people like you come on here acting like it's me that wants to bring a $10,000 100hp engine out whoop-up on junk..THATS SIMPLY NOT THE CASE. I have stated what i think would be fair and we'll let Frank make the choice..not Scott Bauer, not da.racing, not awsmv6 or anyone else! I wish you luck in keeping your current class forever!
-Ron!

First off I just pit for an outlaw at bedrock and i was going to stay out of this post but i can't. Scott builds some of the best motors out there his stuff is not junk. D.A. you stated you did not build this motor for bedrock but you sure are trying to stir enough crap up there. You are not always going to get your wayin life face it. The way the rules are set up now it is drawing more outlaws then they ever have and it is good racing. So my advice to you D.A. is to build a legal motor and come see if you can hang with Scott and the rest of them.

Bigdaddy

junk

anyone looking for a bunch of junk? i have 3 of those junk baur power motors. they ran 1st and 2nd in the points last year but maby the need a new home. i have 3 new 18hp kohlers i plan on running in the 10hp class(dam please dont tell the tech man)

You guys can't see the forest through the trees! I never said anything bad about Bauers engines, i was just using that as a referrence!
As fas as the current rules drawing more karts than ever>> according to Frank the current rules seem to be drawing more complaining about "whats legal" than ever too!!!!!

Again, good luck and enjoy your class!

There's only 1 person complaining about whats legal:rolleyes:

I don't have a dog in this fight but everyone on BOTH sides needs to give it a rest....its nothing but bad PR for the track. The track is great and don't need this.

The people arguing with DA.....just don't acknowledge it anymore and it won't go any further.

DA....I would just call Frank and go through him so the people on here don't complain to you.

If this must continue I beg that you guys go to the bedrock forums for the tracks sake:)

This thread needs to fade away.

The OHV guys will be happy...if they built off the 9.5 block. All those worried about them "cheating" can stop worring...if they built off the 9.5 block.

just finished the new 10hp last night. i hope i can keep up with the rest of the pack..downsizing is a b*tch!!!!! I just might have to go elsewhere to be competetive with all these huge powerfull Bauer engines being there? Oh yeah, who will be inspecting my engine..i want to clarify my legality!

Kurt, Why don't you go the first post and read it slowly ...it'll all be so elementry!!!!!!!!!!
