OK, it's official, I'm spooked.... Where is everyone

"Look" people are concerned with Big River Sand Drags and it envolves everyone that races there and spectates there plus future racers and spectators. Hopefully those things were taken care of in the past and they diffenetly will need to be taken care of in the future. I have been racing at Big River since 1990 and spectating from the early 80's and the state of racing here concerns me both mentally and monetarely. Everyone has a stake in what goes on at the track! Parking spot money from its conception was intended for track improvements ONLY! Seems like that changed directions without explination. Some of us racers choose not to pay for that reason. Others i dont know about there choice. But reading what other people have posted maybe overreacting but then again maybe not. I want to see Big River Grow. I love racing and racing has been great time enjoying my friends and making new friends. That is why we do this is to ENJOY OURSELFS!!!
For the people that are asking the questions about what is going on they all have a right to know! Being the owners gives you the right to say or not to say what is happening. You have given people reasons for not being trusting in what is said from actions in the past. I know one thing for sure I myself am not a high schooler and i wont run my mouth and neither should you. Because maybe they are racers or spectators but you never know they could be future racers or spectators and EVERYONE HAS A STAKE IN BIG RIVER!!!!!!!!

Thats right Mallow!
I for one like to know what to expect. I ask questions and like for the ones implicated in the rumors to come forward and dispell or confirm them. It does no one any good to let things go. I dismiss a lot of stuff I hear as yearly chatter. But I heard some things from reliable sources (what I consider reliable anyway) that things were not all peachy last year. I was in Texas and missed the entire season. I dont know all the details and particulars of what goes on, and I really dont care. If I could do something to help I would. But I dont go home at night and worry about the track. My only concern is showing up, having fun with the other racers, and putting on a good show for the spectators. Oh yeah, and going home in one piece lol. Hopefully things will get resolved and we can all enjoy a good season of racing.

Who knows?.....once again we are left to wonder. LOL this is ridiculous, what a mess! And to think I just paid someone to ruin a perfectly good set of drag slicks. I wonder if they have a 4x4 class at gateway lol....ohh geez, this is about as much fun as a dead puppy.

well guys i have been in contacts with christi via myspace a few times and this is the last email i got. it was from thursday

Jeremy, the track WILL be open!! That is all of the information that I can give out and the only thing that anyone should be worried about at this time. Sorry to sound so harsh, but too many people are getting freaked out and at this time that is all that I can and will say. BRSD will be open this year whether it is under new management/ownership or through the current management/ownership.
thanks, christi

Thanks for the update Jeremy. I wont be ready until later in the month, closer to the end of the month. Thats if I don't encounter anymore problems. Right now things seem to be back on track, but the delays have cost me a lot of time. I still have to get the roll bar installed, set-up the rear, mount the hood and a few other details.

As far as everybody getting freaked out, all I have to say is when a person invests thousands of dollars in a race specific vehicle (meaning you cant just go to another track) it does worry us if we will have a place to race or not. Why does everything have to be such a big secret? Its not like its a matter of National Security or anything. Or is it? ewwww cloak and dagger lol.

Long Time No See!!!!

Sorry i didnt get to show up at work day.I have been workin 2 sometimes 3 jobs here lately to pay for the car and new upgrades.New motor and a transmission rebuild from Mallow Racing. Thanks Mallow!!New body on the car. Thanks Danny!!Im gonna try to do it on my own with no sponsors this year. I told my sponsors I didnt know if I was going to run this year at Big River. With all the rumors and stuff going around I didnt want to go Get sponsors and then not have a local track to race at.If things change and everything gets up and running smoothly then i am probabbly gonna offer my sponsors a spot on the car for half price this year. For local sponsors it doesnt do any good when ur gonna be racing at Kansas City,Kentucky,Indianna, and such. When the track opens and i see all the ducks are in a row then I will be ready to come out and race.
