i would like to say sorry bout what i said btwon and scorethis and everyone else on here sorry everybody and thank you scorethis for helping me clear all of this up now that i have a lot more to this storie i can understand it better thanks and sorry again
 
i never stated it was at the finish line and i getting tired of being bashed i was not told till after i showed the photo to thorton and klein on the front stretch. then i was reamed and charlie got on my a**. i was to never to show anyone my photos. well how do you suppose i am to sell photos if noone can see them. and oh yes i have shown people after i have taken a good shot. this is the last i am going to be on here if you cant get the facts straight dont bash it. i was doing my job. i had no problems with anyone. quit puting words in my mouth that i did not say.

i showed it to the two drivers to show that they were dead even on the track. do not make it more than it is.
 
You know what no matter the situation is Charlie is the boss his words are final say so no matter if Thornton won it and if the pic had been clearer where it showed 441 to clearly be the winner dont matter this is how Highland is!! I like Highland don't get me wrong but if the car count starts dropping and if the flagman dont get his head out of his *** Highland track will be no more!! They have had some excellent racing there and hate to see that be throwed away because from the stands view it looked to us why say dont show the picture maybe to stop controversy or maybe to hide the fact who really won just looks suspicios is all im saying . Was a photo finish race both drivers did well but we all know how Charlie favorites the 2 car over any other just to obvious is all!! Especially when you see how the flagman reacts just watch and see and you will see what we see!! Good job to both drivers for a hell of a showdown!!
 
My suggestion: place a vcr camera at the start finish line for reviewing each race. Let the scorers do their job at calling the race, but in the case of a close finish, let the driver disputing thr call put up a fee ,(say $25), to review the finish. If he or she is right, the $25 dollers is returned. If wrong , he or she lose their their money. This would pay for the camera & tapes. Have the driver, scorers, & officials all watch the tape at the same time after the race is over to avoid contravirsory.
 
Why does the flagman keep comming up in this thread. He has nothing to do with scoring the finish.

I honestly do not think that anyone of the officials, Charlie, the flag man, or the scorer's really care who wins the race.

How many tracks have a VCR set up at the finish line ? ? ? ?
 
dogn 99, this would be a great idea if there were no scorers. This is not football. This would also create longer nights at the racetrack than they already are.

Scorers are put there by a trust from the promoter to do a very difficult job. They are not perfect as well as everyone else is not in this world. They will make mistakes. But they are to stand by their decisions, no matter how bad they appeared to someone else. I have been victim of mistake calls, and so has alot of my friends that are close to me, but this sport isn't perfect yet either. We just have to s u c k it up and move on to next week. I have been in that difficult spot also on the track worker side, and their is so much to look at, other than just a tight finish. Also their is no possible way anyone can make a call unless you are in a direct line with the finish line and the scorers table. This, at Highland, only includes about 20 or 30 seats. Anyone else has no room to say anything about a finsih. Even among the 20 or 30 seats, they are not being payed to sit there and score either, they are there with generally a biased opinion, and cannot make an official call either. Now to the remark to btown. There is no need fro insults like that. Especially behind a name on a computer. If you have something to say to Nikki or Leigh Ann, they WILL listen and talk to you, if you are sensible about it. So try that approach next time before you decide to crush a feeling. There is no need for that kind of remark.

I've got an idea to the whole situation.....drop it. What's done is done, personally, I'm tired of looking at this thread at the top of the column....
