hey everyone thank you for all your prayers please keep praying hard for mom! she is still in the icu on a ventalator she had a really rough night last night! she has blood clotts in her left lung and it is completely full of pnomonia and most likely wont recover and she had a collapsed right lung which has a tube in it draining blood and air so it will reinflate! please keep the family in your prayers!! thank you!!shannon johns

hey everyone thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!!! it really means a lot!!! mom is still in the icu on the ventalator and still has the chest tube in. they are trying to wein her off of the ventalor they have done 3 trials and her lungs and muscles arent strong enough yet so they will try today again to see if her lungs are strong enough so please still keep her in your prayers and thank you again everyone for your kind words! you all mean the world to me and my family!!!!!!!!!!

hey ya i was with mom saturday at the hospital. dad just called im at work they took the tube out but she still cant swallow so they have to watch her very close so she doesnt choke! hopefully now in the next few days she will get transferred to barnes in the city and they can see if she has ALS she has a mask on still because of her lungs being wounded! thank you all for your prayers!!!!!!!!!!
 
Up date on Shannon's mom!

Just got done talking to Shannon...PLEASE continue to pray as hard as possible. Her mom coded again late last night and the situation doesn't seem to be improving. Shannon and her whole family need all the prayers and support we can offer. She asked that I up date everyone on here and she's thankful for all the prayers and kid words!

hey thank you for all the prayers i finally got to a computer but dont know when i will again. mom did code again on wednesday this time it was A LOT worse! she coded betweent 5 to 20 no one knows. she finally started coming out of the coma yesterday but through testing the neurologist have found some brain loss that she will hopefully regain back! they are doing a lot of testing to figure out what is going on. the muscles in her throat keep giving out that is why she goes into respiratory failure then cardiac! she will have to remain on a ventalator til they find out the cause and to see if they can fix it! again thank you for all your thoughts and prayers and please keep them coming because they are working! they didnt think she was going to wake up and she did! thank you all!!!!!! god bless!

they couldnt do the trach today now she has a blood infection! the poor thing cant take much more! thank you All!!! and mama B i will sorry its been crazy!
 
We will be praying for you and your family and your mom to stay strong (i know it is easier said than done) I just hope it is a tiny bit uplifting when you can read all these messages of support for you guys. Just know that we are thinking of you and will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

yes it is very up lifting thank you! in times of need you really find out who your friends are!!! thank you for the thoughts and prayers all it really is helpful and encouraging! thank you all i cant say that enough! im truely blessed! mom got a trach and stomach tube put in and is doing ok with that! we have a very very long road ahead of us! you are all a help thank you!!!!!!!!
 
hey everyone mom is slowly progressing but yesterday we got some bad results they found some cancer cells in her spinal fluid. so today they are doing a petscan and another spinal tap today. then we will just wait for results! she is a strong woman but she is so weak right now i dont know how much more she can handle! please keep her in your thoughts and prayers! thank you!!!!!
