Presidential Race - Are We United?

I hope the racing community is united, motivated, and mobilized behind the McCain/Palin ticket. McCain/Palin is obviously the most "motorsports friendly" ticket in the history of our country.

Cindy McCain's hobby is participating in Drifting Competions with her son. Can you imagine watching the First Lady drift in competition? Sarah Palin's husband Todd is a former Champion Snowmobile Racer and she seems very proud of it.

With the left wing assault on personal freedoms and the demonization of the internal combustion engine, I hope we all realize that there's a clear choice in support of our passion of motorsports. They say Missouri is going to be a critical State, so they could use our support.

I don't think we have to worry about McCain being elected.
But if your criteria for voting is based on a "motorsports friendly" candidate your a complete moron.

I aint voting for either one... Wont go into reasons, but I have my own.... The country is allready ran into the ground, neither can do much worse.

You can't honestly say there's no difference between the two potential administrations, can you? I'm not going to try to convince anyone that McCain could or would fix everything, but you can't just say the county is a lost cause, can you?

Wow, agreement and name-calling in the same post. The race is certainly not decided. All the polls still show Obama ahead decidedly, especially in the electoral college, so you must know a lot more than everyone else, but I guess that's obvious...
 
I only stated that if your criteria for selecting a president was based on "being motorsports friendly" that you were a moron. But if you have a guilty conscience so be it. Its just as idiotic as using abortion, gun control, and gay marriage as a criteria for your selection. If the shoe fits...wear it. For the record, I'm not for any of it, but based on what republicans have done for us in the last 24 years I must vote democrat. I am not an Obama supporter but will vote for him soley for keeping another republican out of office.

If you are happy with the way our country has been ran for the past 8 years by all means vote for McCain. He's behind the policies and practices of good ole "W" 100%. Yes "W" the man who said on a televised Olympic interview with Bob Costas when asked "What do you think the future president should do about the trouble America is in" stated "Trouble in America? What Trouble? America is not in any trouble" Much the same as New Orleans was not in any trouble after Katerina.:rolleyes: Bush and McCain are both too stupid to come when they are called.

Hell, we have only seen the value of our US Dollar decrease by how much in the last 5 years (60%)? Or how about or National Debt increased by how much ($8.5 Trillion since 2001, We had a surplus in 2000)? Did you know that in the last 4 years Japan has bought up $644B in US Debt? Or how about China? They have bought up $350B in US debt. (Those figures are from March 2007 and have grown astronomically since then) The US Treasury and Social Security owns the rest of our debt. So when your parents are unable to draw benefits and you cannot afford to take care of them, look at the republicans for an answer.

Unemployment figures were just released yesterday and guess what, they have grown again...now to over 6% nationally. It's obvious, we don't need to take care of ourselves:confused:....we need to worry about other countries:mad:. Especially those whose government have a surplus...Like Iraq. Their oil revenues were estimated at over $60B in one quarter last fall. And this is after the US has invested $45B (not counting the cost of the war and our continued occupation) in rebuilding their country.

All of this because everyone is scared that a Democrat will raise taxes, take away your guns, and give a hand out to someone in need? How stupid are you?

George W decreased taxes, no doubt. Unfortunately that tax decrease (which amounts to $20/week or $1040 per year, if you make over $40K/year) means that China, Japan, the UK, and Saudi Arabia now are the mortgage holders to the US. If you are making $769/week(which more than 60% of you are) isn't it worth $20 per week to keep your country owned by America?

I'm not gonna get started on this....If you've been duped for the last 8 years...well...I'll just let it go..it's not worth saying. You are what you are.

Political racing

Since this is a racing forum, I suppose it would be appropriate to stick to the issues as the candidates relate to racing. We should not let Obama's socialistic agenda and his promise of higher taxes or his racial bias sway our decision on which candidate would be a good choice for the racing community. We should instead think of the candidate that would require a quota on minorities for drivers, much higher fuel costs for raceteams and the fans traveling to races as well as requirements that all drivers receive the same payout whether they finish first or last. After all, it would not be fair if the 'rich' drivers made more money than the 'poor' ones. We should also think of which candidate would tax driver winnings and tax admission fees and pit passes as well as beer and food sales. We should also think of which candidate would put fuel mileage requirements on race cars so they would get a minimum of 40 MPG by 2012.
Most importantly, which candidate is married to a woman with a beer distributorship that sells a product which sponsers a Nascar cup car?
Think carefully when you vote in November and take racing into consideration. It is an important issue also.
 
I'll worry about it when it happens. I'm willing to take my chances. If the American people continue to suffer financially the way we are now, I will be out of biz in a few years anyway. Much the same as any small business. As I stated earlier...the difference between Clintons most excessive tax ...based on $40K/year income and Bush's least excessive tax based on the same income was $20/week more tax.

I will not divulge what my income is, but even if I made 4 times that amount ($160K/year) I would still... under the same scenario of Bush's tax schedule and Clinton 's 1999/2000 tax schedule pay only $7900/year more taxes. That is only a 5% difference. If I made that much money, I would glady give 10% (double) of my profits to keep America owned by Americans.

Can you say the same? Or will you be learning Japanese or Chinese?

What have I said that doesn't make any sense? I have quoted concrete facts from reliable sources. I will credit them if someone poses a legitimate protest.
