I am not an Obama supporter but will vote for him soley for keeping another republican out of office.

Intake....What part of this sentence didn't you understand?

Once Again...mindless monkees.

Hey Republicans....How about that NAFTA vote?????????? Someone please explain that one to me. I guess it was Bill Clintons fault after all.

No....Georgies military record.

Oh, I see... I ask you for a list of Obama accomplishments that should cause us to trust him over McCain to lead the protection of our Nation in this very dangerous world, and you give me a tired line about Bush's military record? Is that really the best you have?

Oh, and I forgot, you call us "mindless monkies"... If you really want Obama elected, you should consider being less vocal...

Obama getting elected to the senate was about as silly as Hillary getting elected in New York after liveing there how long?

There is no requirement for how long a US citizen must be a resident in a particular state to be eligible for election to the Senate.

Oh, and I forgot, you call us "mindless monkies"... If you really want Obama elected, you should consider being less vocal...

And you want 4 more years of the same Bush policies and practices? You must be one of the rich elitist who are benefiting from this mess.

Who is mindless....

Obama or McCains plan for the National Debt....and our Taxes...You choose!

A cut and past article from www.taxpolicycenter.com

Executive Summary August 25, 2008

Both candidates prefer to compare their plans to the "current policy" baseline, which would extend the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts and indefinitely extend an indexed AMT "patch"—and collect nearly $3.6 trillion less than under current law over the coming decade. Against that baseline, Obama would raise revenues by about $600 billion over the decade, while McCain would lose $600 billion. But choice of baseline doesn’t change how the proposals would affect the budget picture; without substantial cuts in government spending, both plans would sharply increase the national debt. Including interest costs, Obama’s tax plan would boost the debt by $3.5 trillion by 2018. McCain’s plan would increase the debt by $5 trillion.

The Obama plan would reduce taxes for low- and moderate-income families, but raise them significantly for high-bracket taxpayers (see Figure 2). By 2012, middle-income taxpayers would see their after-tax income rise by about 5 percent, or nearly $2,200 annually. Those in the top 1 percent would face a $19,000 average tax increase—a 1.5 percent reduction in after-tax income.
McCain would lift after-tax incomes an average of about 3 percent, or $1,400 annually, for middle-income taxpayers by 2012. But, in sharp contrast to Obama, he would cut taxes for those in the top 1% by more than $125,000, raising their after-tax income an average 9.5 percent.
These projections are built on descriptions of the candidates’ plans provided by senior McCain and Obama staff (see Table 1). However, TPC has also projected costs based upon what candidates have actually said on the campaign trail, and those promises paint a quite different picture (see second panel of Summary Revenue Table).

Anyone care to pontificate?

The country keeps getting further in debt, the richest 1% keep getting richer and paying less taxes...The true meaning of Republican.

You can't blame NAFTA on either party. Past presidents from both parties stood hip to hip and endorsed the thing. And who was that guy who debated Ross Perot on national TV over NAFTA? Does anyone remember? I'll give you a hint. He was to politics what the Chicago Cubs are to baseball. He coulda won, he shoulda won and when he didn't win he blamed everyone but himself for his failure to win but if he coulda won on his home turf, Tennessee, he woulda won. I think all of you smart people out there know by now, Al Gore. Enough said.

You can't blame NAFTA on either party.

you certainly can...Look at the voting record. Who is always for the richest, wealthiest 10%...Republicans. Who do you think owns most of these factories(the so-called special intrest groups) that pushed for NAFTA's passage??? A boat load of Democrats? I highly doubt it. Republicans voted 3 to 1 for its passage. Dems were roughly 50/50 leaning to the nay side.

King, you sidestepped 90% of glbert's post in a manner that Bill Clinton would be proud of. You have to realize that things change over the years. Whatever political party you are loyal to today, their beliefs and values change over the years. Right now, you have a business that services the backbone of the Democrat party. I am sure that you have watermelon on your menu. But in the next few years, you will have to add tacos to your menu to cater to the same base.

I must be loosing my mind....I cannot for the life of me, make any sense of MOJO's post. If I sidestepped something (I really didn't realize there was anything there to sidestep) someone please tell me what it was.

Or if someone can please decipher what this cluster of poopoo is (am I alone in those sentiments?) please spell it out for me. I almost feel like a just read a "dirthound" post.

Let me spell it out for you. This will be my last post because mama is home from work and she wants to play. Who likes fried chicken and watermelon? Without these people voting for Democrats, there would not be very many in office. And as far as the tacos go, what people are coming over the border by the thousands who Obama wants to give citizenship to? Good night.

Your nutty as a fruitcake, MOJO.

We seldom discuss politics in the restaurant so I couldn't tell you if my customers are Dems or Reps. By the way, we do not serve watermelon, but I assume your chicken and watermellon reference was meant to insinuate that most of my customers are black people. Sorry bud, my customer base in roughly 90% (or more) white folks.

I can tell from your high level of intellect that you were a Demographics Major in college. You obviously graduated quite a few years ago because your paradigms are so outdated. But I would love to know where you got your information regarding blacks making up the majority of democratic voters from (or whatever rubbish it was that you were trying to say).

And most importantly....Please make sure you have a raincoat on...we certainly don't need our gene pool polluted with ignorace such as yours.

Kingeddy,

Did you know that Obama's tax increase includes businesses down to $250,000 in revenue, not salary? So you net $40,000 via your small business you are going to see your taxes go up. If your taxes go up will you pass the increase on to your customers?

And could you explain to me how his plan for raising corporate tax rates is going to keep more corporations from moving jobs out of the country?

kingeddy: "And most importantly....Please make sure you have a raincoat on...we certainly don't need our gene pool polluted with ignorace such as yours."

And if you are going to question someone's intelligence, at least spell the word right.

.
