Pro Stock Class At Bedrock

How about this line up: I really need to follow my Rookie "B" to the grid.

Rookie B
Heavy
Rookie A
Medium
Junior
Light
Outlaw
Pro-Stock (feature, line up set by pill draw, 15 laps)

PRO Stock Rules
weight 360
entry fee $25
must run at least one stock class
PRO stock 100% pay back, winner gets 50% of total, 60% of remainder to second and the rest to third

I say we try this and see what happens. If it works, great. If it doesn't then changes can be made.

I don't see adding Pro stock heats until the class gets so big you have no shot at finishing in the top three from the last starting spot.
 
I don't see why we couldn't switch Rookie A and Rookie B. What do you think Larry? I think we should try it this week and see what happens...

where is tobin with his ideas. o ben where art thou. i don't care what you guys come up with. i think it is going to be a good thing for the track, and that is what it is all about.lets go with this and we can add to it as we go . i think mother nature hs done us in for the week end. check back to see if we can get it in this week end. thanks
 
My opinoin is sign up, pill draw run one heat during the second round of heats at the end and run the feature at the end of the night! this way no changes in the line up and problem solved and we all know there is plenty of time to get this in! at most it will take an extra 15 minutes.
U need to have at least one heat because if the class goes over and you get over 10 karts you don't want to loose due to a pill draw. As far as the weight it don't matter! and laps 15 if we run one heat, 20 if we just run the feature. an extra 5 laps at 12 seconds a lap how much extra time would it really take?:confused:
 
I say run the class without heats and see if it takes off.

I'm sure it will but we need to get it started and the easiest way to do that is a pill draw.

With drivers chasing a possible $125 or more, I've seen 5 laps take 10 minutes. :D

I agree that one heat would be good, but let's try Frank's idea, see what happens, and if the overall time of the show is not affected, then we can add 1 heat right before intermission to the end of the line-up I posted. That would be great if this class gets more than 10 karts, but that needs to happen first.
 
at Bedrock there r not that many delays from what I remember! I say we run the heat until Bedrock gets a crowd cause look how early the races r getting over? there is plenty of time to run one extra heat. If a crowd happens to show up and there is time issues drop the heat!


* for the record I wont be the one crying cause I didn't get a heat:mad: but I gaurantee someone will! the fast karts need to start up front or someone will start crying. this is why we should have at least one heat.:(
 
I side with ben. Usually the pro class is you fastest karts there and pill draw feature will kill the class. I would go with one heat 10 lap heat and a 20 lap feature. I would say this will be your biggest class and if there is 14 karts in it, You need to give guys a chance to start up front with only paying 3 spots. Split your field in half with pill draw run 1 heat and line them up the way they finish 1st heat inside row 2nd heat outside row.
 
Well, I'm cool with one heat right before intermission (10 laps) and a feature (20 laps) as the last race of the night. Just be prepared to explain this to Frank on Friday night at the drivers meeting. I just want to get the class going, so I figured if we used Frank's idea at least we would have a pro-stock class this week. I also understand that NO heat race may prevent people from signing up because they may start last in a fast field of cars.

This idea sounds good to me.
 
this is getting out of hand

so let me get this straight, you want a 1 heat race, and the pill draw to set the field. so the fast guys can start up front . won't you all ready have your kart dialed in by running your heat's and feature in the regular class? back when we ran the can race kurt started 13th one night and got the lead on the last lap going into turn 1 so i know it can be done. lets try it franks way the first week and work on it from there.
