Pure Stocks at I-55

I just don't understand what the man has to do to prove to some people And to get respect. He has been tore down on numerous occasions found legal every freaking time Danny is a very good driver ,aand the man has a crew that knows what they doing. If people actually took the time to talk to Ems then they would probably have a different perspective of him. Jmo. And Dave you did have strong car and I even said at the beginning of the feature it's going to be a good race and it was good job and it's always good to see nice clean racing and that's what you guys did good job and good luck throughout the season
 
To dave 34 i have a car being built its just about done waiting on the motor to get done and put it in hopefully be out in a couple weeks i hope this class survives at i-55 thats for sure
 
i beat him by almost a straight away in the heat driving my brothers #28 car at i55 last year and i spun in the feature but he was still going to win because he is GOOD not cheating and i dont even know him but my cars i build are legal and give jim troutman 10 bucks and tell him what you want to look at and he will do a visual inspection , if he finds something wrong with what you wanted checked you get your ten bucks back, but i bet you wont get your ten bucks back because the 36 is just winning and not at home whining! i55 needs more cars so drag it out there and give it a shot. my brother would be there in the #66 pstock but he has technical difficulties with suspension and i dont mean car parts lol!
 
ok as i read this thread it makes me sick to hear people say the ems car is illegal.as jason said the car has been tore down numerous times and found to be legal.what does it take to give the credit to danny for his ability to drive or to the people behind him that put the car together and work on it from week to week.some people need to get a life or better yet put together a legal car and come out and race mr ems to see if u can beat him.i know what i am talking about asd i am a proud pit crew member for the ems racing #36 pure stock and sportsman.im just sayn paul dolenz.
 
It's really only one person...don't let it bother you...most people know you guys have your stuff together, a good crew and good driver....and that's the reason for the success.

Have you ever even ran a race yet? Those boys at Highland and Granite City will school you just as well as Danny Ems can!!

Kevin you got to be ****ting all of us... There's no way u would stay up or beat the young man !!!! He is the class of the field and I've seen him teched good and pass. He did his homework and even if he is cheating he did his homework good enough to get away with it. Ems the man is the ss class and everybody knows that..
 
We will be there every week as long as we can keep running.. its nice to be able to go to a track and race 2 and 3 wide and most of the times come out without even a scratch on the car.

As far as what your saying about Danny Ems.. if you watch that car it is just so smooth and he rarely ever makes a mistake and thats what makes him fast

I've owned a lot of cars, and I mean a lot. You can set them all up the same, but they are all different! It hasn't happened too often; but once in a while I have come across special ones that just seem to be far better then all the rest. A car that just seems to find its way to the front no matter what. Danny has found that car!

Danny Ems is an awesome driver and some forget who helps him set up the car. his dad Kenny was hard to catch when he raced. I do not remember how many championships he won but the man could not be caught in street stocks. with two minds like that being put together it is a challenge to beat them but not an impossible task. just do the homework and find a way. His grandfather and uncle were winning drivers as well. Good Luck Danny
 
Dont forget his Grandpa & Uncle ,Harry & Burt either. All combined they might have 70+ years of experience. (conservative)
 
If i was the promoter at Federated Auto Parts Raceway, I would offer to pay $100 dollar bonus to the car that wins the feature. Danny must atleast run the heat race and qualify for the feature and only void if he is crashed on purpose and the other car is black flagged as a result. Mechanical problems will not slow him down (TRICITY $3000 to win, back to front win) as we saw at tricity last year. lol I would also pay for Danny's pit pass so he gets something in return. I think the car count would increase for sure and make for some great racing. JMO
 
we would like to know if theywill let us run the truck at I 55? I might be a little bias but one of the best races i seen last year was the dash at the 3000 to win show between tommy and danny

I55 will not be able to depend on TCS or Belleville streetstocks to make this class fly there. Yeah a few might come weekly and some will pop in here and there. But, not enough to make a full field weekly. This is a support class and tracks don't pay it enough to justify the long hauls. Also racers are in this division for a reason. Not usually because they have a high racing budget. They need to be patient and let it grow, I personally think it will. I definitely hope it does, it's one of my favs. Like
I've said before, when they first brought in the 4cyl class(wannabees), there was only 2 the first few weeks and it gradually grew. If you look at the streetstocks at TCS, Highland and Belleville, most of the racers are from those areas. Same will probably applied to I55 if they give it the chance.

As far as Ems, of course he's the man to beat in those cars. He's a good driver with good knowledge behind him, and has quite a bit of experience in that division. But with that said, he is not unbeatable. Armstrong gave him all he could handle for a while there saturday, give him time and he'll get better and pull one off. If ya' pay attention to Ems, he wins his races through the center of the corner where handling comes in. They found something that works great. Others need to keep searching and find something too.

Rob, you hit that nail square on the head! Plus I understand the long haul part personally. We have to finish almost 4th or better in the sportsmans to break even for the nite on fuel, pit pass, and car fuel only. But I love racing there so im going to go. Kinda like going to the bar, i can buy my own case of beer for $16, but would much rather go out all night and drop 150 on booze and shots. I do it for the fun not the check all the time.(BUT IT DOES HELP A BUNCH)

my car is fixed had a few small problems my first week there..but i plan on making the trip everyweekend after the WoO show...
