Question the outcome of the rules meeting for pevely

actually there was 3 cars baised on the nova.the apollo, pontiac ventura and the nova, all shared the same tub so i figure they were novas on steroids,,the 62 chevy II is correct, not really a stub but had a unboltable front sub frame..the stub car i am looking for was produced to compete with the lincoln zepher,

Lenny,
I don't know what you remember as a a Lincoln Zephyer in the mid 70's? Did you possibly mean a Lincoln Versailles?
I don't know what GM would have marketed to compete with Lincolns in this time period. My only guess would be that era Buick Riv, Cad Eldo or Olds Torpedo. as I remember Grant Dodge had a dune buggy with a Toronado drive line for motivation, rear mounted, steering locked and it may have had a Toronado stub grafted on the rear. If this is the case could you speak with this "GENUINE ALLIED O-FICIAL" and find out if it's OK to use a Toronado stub?

People say I'm getting crankier as I get older. That's not it. I just find I enjoy annoying people a lot more now. Especially younger people.

pitdrifter,i think you are right as to the omega being a stub car but it was built on the same platform as the nova, still one more out there...

rich, you are right, the lincoln was a versailles, but i do have a version of gm's response to ford sitting in my yard, front stub,REAR wheel drive,,all the high end gm cars you mentioned were front drives..several push cars from farmington were made from those gm front drive cars,,they could carry the front wheels with ease..

Buicks were not front drive until the metric platform the 68-69 riv was a x frame with rear drive most were 430 ci 70-newer were the boat tail just some info.

PHOENIX2,ya got the make right, the model was a Seville,it used the same front steer stub as the other GM stub cars but was longer wb,,the neat deal is they mostly had 5 on 5 bolt pattern and i do belive some had rear disc brakes,,,the Cimmeron was baised on a Cavilier and were not good cars...the sevilles were all V8 cars, mostly olds, caddy and i think chevy powered....also the early GM stub cars 67 to 69 were rear steer(the nova platform may have retaind that style into the 70s)very simmlar to the 55/57 chevy and very easy to set up.
