Racing for Tomorrow at Belle-Clair Speedway is Canceled! Kettler & Son's Night is rescheduled for Au

I think it was very undignified for Kevin to post on THIS thread promoting TCS... maybe dreaming of the day he will have Fridays all to himself.

TCS, the track with a Super PAC

I think its undignified you posted this without seeing it was a COPY of a thread Kevin had started saying his track WAS RUNNING

It's interesting you mention to quit running drivers off like Brian Bielong. This is the guy that won the feature at Federated a couple of weeks ago, forgot to weigh his car and was DQ'd. For revenge he smashes Federated's transponder with a hammer. And you say it would be good business to quit running these guys off.

How about a response back on this 20 Rocks??

He went to weigh and was waved away by an official, how would you like to get screwed out of 600?and a win that he wanted badly.Cole was on the wrong end of a stupid call and has only been back for summernationals.ellison and clatter are no different than what weidner did but treated so!they were dining beilong 500 for flipping off officials but kitten can hit someone's car after the dash in front of the backstretch and is fined 100$.the guys they bow to show up very seldom.

First of all, Kevin had nothing to do with the post. I did. If he did, why would it be so bad? I posted it so the people that don't usually go to Granite knew about what he had going on there tonight with the Russ Wallace tribute. Nothing wrong with Belleville, but maybe a chance to see something a little different and pay tribute to Russ Wallace. Seriously, if this offended you, you have serious issues...

My mistake guys, it just fried my bacon to see that post and Kevin's name on it. I saw yawanago but did not put 2 and 2 together.
It is hard not to think that TCS moving to Fridays (I know, years ago) some 30 miles from another Friday night track (in a weaker financial position) was, well you figure it out... business is business. And now with the dwindling consumer entertainment dollar that most people are experiencing and with less casual race fans to draw from. (Die hards will always hang in there somehow) Not a pretty site...

What's with people starting a bash-o-rama with BC's promoter, chill (no pun intended) people, short term loss, long term gain... let's save a track.

Well as of 12:00pm it is only 82 degrees and a cloud cover . Yesterday I said 89 was predicted . I don't think its going to make that . Don should have waited till today before making his dissension now he is going to miss out on a beautiful day for racing . Its a shame because he would have probably got more people in the stands and a nice car count . Don would have made money tonight but he is just to financially scared . I don't think He will race next Friday with 100s all week so today was his window of opportunity . If you are going to be a successful promoter you cant close your doors on these kind of days

Ok, yawannago... I will start copying and pasting Belle-Clare race promotions in TCS threads, so you can see something a little different...(?!) I have serious issues, on a racing forum, I hope you are joking, me thinks thy protests to much...

20Rocks..
If that's true Beilong was waved off by officials I apologize for coming to the wrong conclusion. Thanks for responding back.

I say 3Abreast puts up 5-$8000 of his own money next time Don makes the call because of heat. Is that ok with you 3Abreast?

Being waved off isn't exactly accurate..

I-55 and Belleville often have the winner go to victory lane first (to keep the show moving) and then the winner goes into the infield and scales.

However, I do personally feel they should always make them scale first. However, in the case of the modifieds it wouldn't matter, because after victory lane they must go immediately back to tech/claim area anyhow. So even if he would of scaled first, had he went back to his pit area without going to tech/claim area, he would of still be DQ'd.

Hey Big wheel, it's no big deal. I just thought it would be nice to make people aware of the special program Kevin had going tonight. I don't blame Donnie for cancelling, it's a gamble he couldn't take with the way things with the weather have been...Should be a good show tonight!

Very well put together response "TheBigWheel"..I wish both tracks were racing tonight, however, I do see both sides to cancelling. I am a fan of tracks cancelling sooner rather than later so I know if I need to load up the night before or not. Hopefully this will be a great night of racing for everyone and next week both tracks will have packed grandstands. Good luck to everyone tonight..enjoy and be safe!

yawannago, silky8, racin90 it's all good! I know we all share the passion of auto racing. Be it on the track or in the grandstands. See you at the races!

to all you cry babies,,,don may get fed up with ya all and shut the joint down and then what ya gon-a do,,,be happy just missing a night or two so the rest of the season can be saved...my name is LENNY GARSON and i approve this posting....
I didn't know that he needed your approval, my bad. That makes a world of difference, lol. I know I'm sweatin my azz off right now, lmao. Yea good call don!!! Darn good call, wouldn't want people passing out tonight. And Lenny you don't even race there! Tony Penberthy!!!

If you could guarantee Don that he would've had at least 1000 people in the stands,I'm sure this discussion wouldn't have gotten out of hand...If we would've had rain on the last 6 Fridays, the cars would still be parked and the fixed cost of putting on a show would still be the same.As for the sponsors,if there are not any eyeballs to read them they still don't get their monies worth.Like Don posted about I-55 SN show, you have to have at least 750 people in the stands to break even and this summer has been the hottest since 1936 and 1954..It's a no-win situation...JMO. :)

Ok Tony, see you on here all the time bashing Don and Belleclair. I am not going to get into whether the decision was right or wrong, but for someone who states they are there all the time you sure do not know who the drivers are. Not only does Lenny race there but he is there every week. So before you start putting more smart a** remarks on here get your facts straight.

How can you say this was a good call when it only got up to 86 degrees today . If that's the case I guess closing down for the rest of the summer is a good call .

Current time in belleville 5:03 pm current temp 84!!!!!! King eddy akm9 whos the idiots now? Guess the right call was still made huh? If its to hot now close the track its never gonna get to cool outside to race! You uys are serious douche bags! Jmo

I must say Biker of all the posts/threads I've read of yours over the years this one is by far the best.
Poor Don...... Damned if you do, Damned if you don't.
I think that we as race fans in the St louis area are spoiled to have options friday and saturday night.
BC not racing?........Brownston...Tri City
Pevely under water?......Highland...MMP...Clay city..
Etc
Maybe some posters should predict the future, and put their wallet on the line...JMO
