Restarts?

Rusty is right in a way but Rusty don't forget you are one if not the best Mod driver in the area. I-55 has the best in the area every week so I think it would might work at I-55.

Looks like racers are speaking for themselves and not casting their presumptions about what others want. I wouldn't start talking abt what others want u may be wrong. It defintely makes for better racing kinda like the dashes. Better for fans and most racers but not all. Funny thing is its probably same group crying abt the track being "too fast". Id say the majority of the racers and the fans win that one. Jmo

I cringe to even think about this. Kermit is right this is ok with WOO or usmts but this is not good for our local track. This would stress the racers already struggling budget with torn up parts most racers don't like this. No racer I know likes them but I say most because I dont every racers opinion. It could even hurt crowd numbers because of late nights because the yellow would be out twice as much if not more and the fans would get bored with this also. Just not a good deal all around for us locally. If your not a racer or dont know the ins and outs of racing might be hard to underststand but this would hurt us locally

I don't see where this would hurt the stands they aren't ever standing room only now. Why? I can watch my 2 year old pull his ducks around in a line. I never really considered myself as a back marker n I'm all for it, puttin people in the seats keeps tracks open! We had double file restart in all classes when I started n making the cars run 2 lanes will help the track. I really don't see a change in the amount of yellows I know every bodies gonna say I'm wrong but here's an idea try it!

Im a low budget racer and I say yes. Same thing with dashes. Sure both could result in my car get torn up but I'm there to race not try to squeak by and convince myself I'm making money racing..lol

first i have been around racing for 25yrs.so i do know a little bit about racing i do think it would be an improvment and would NOT hurt the crowd numbers i hope this deal happens.

I've been driving for over 25 years and my family started racing in the late 50s all I can tell you is we better start doing something different other than puttin all the fast cars in the front of every race on a one lane race track or we will watch this thing diminish till there is no more local racing! Bet your last dollars on it all you hear promoters say now is how they are goin broke!

I agree with Aaron on this. We as drivers, fans, and promotors have got to do something or local racing will be gone. If your a good driver then there is nothing to wory about. Just maybe and i say just maybe if they start doing this some of the mid pack guys will have a chance at winning a race, and as someone posted earlier it might make for more grooves to race in instead of a one lane freight train as one track that i can think off the top of my head is week in and week out. Drivers i say you guys need to be the ones concerned as if we all dont do something quick you wont be able to do what we all love. JMO

I would just like to see restarts without brake checking

double file restarts eliminates the break check (which causes numerous restart cautions a night) because if they do it the cars lined up next to them will pass them. double file restarts were great in this area in the late 80s & early 90s. this forces 2 lanes to be ran making for a racier track and encourages racing on the restart rather than strategically rolling in and out of the gas to get a jump on the cars behind you. bring back the double file restart!!

Normally on a one lane track it doesn't make the other lane come in it makes a wreck when the car that got put in the worse lane try's to force his way back into the good lane just saying this is good for fans but bad for cars I don't care if we have double file restarts just want to be able to ask Arron how you like them now in about 6 months ha ha JK lol have fun I will be there no matter what

Double file once or twice. If its obvious the double file re-start is the issue then do a single file re-start. Almost everywhere does double file re-starts, never understood why Stl area didn't do the same. My opinion is there are so many that have no regard for tearing up equipment in the area and not penalized for it, its just easier for tracks to just keep them separated by going single file. After a while racers will learn you have to be able to start a race and re-start one to finish one.

Rusty that's how all the races were ran when I started granted some nights it will hurt you some nights it will help you, look at the big picture if you don't put asses in the seats you don't race and to entertain as dean said is the way to do it not by runnin tractors around all night

"double file restarts eliminate break check"

Come to quincy and you'll find this to be false. More cars are tore up because of cars behind the front row trying to jump the start and then having to stop so not to run over someone.

I believe single file would have the same problem to a point also. What happened to the cone? If no one could pass until you got to a cone or tire this would really help eliminate cars from getting tore up on restarts. JMO

I like double file starts, as a driver and a fan. What makes them work is officials with balls. No black flagging means a lot of cautions. I think I only saw the black flag used once all summer.

Racing is suppose to be entertainment... I can't count how many times a great 2 and 3 wide race was interrupted by a caution only to become a single file glorified hot lap session.
I could not of said it better.........Not wanting change is hurting racing period !
