I can believe that. Besides if a local racer is not going to travel why not use an open hauler. It can still carry what they need.trailer.old school, open???back when i started i used a team of mules to pull my jalopy to the track...
Its funny a few years back I said on this very site that enclosed trailers were killing this sport and all i got was bashed.....Back in the good ole days When we hauled our race cars to St Charles and BC "except Pevely because we lived a mile from it" we had least 1 to 3 cars follow us to the track on many many occasions over the many years we raced all 3 tracks .... Racers pulling there race cars on open trailers should get a discount for sure and I hope to see Kenny roll in the track with this rig and Ill go buy a couple of his Tshirt's
Sorry...... The new format messed me up .
Schrader had a open air ramp truck hauler back in the day . I remember haulin the cars all over the midwest with it. We hauled Pat Walsh's 55 chevy up to Jeff City with it for a 4th of July race. We had 4 of us in the cab! I ended up riding home belted up in the race car so I could have some space, then it started raining! Oh the fond memories of those days gone by................
