Salem fair race (More info.)

Yea strippit had one and he ran same weight and everything.....but tracy has declared the medium class animal cause no one has been running in it all year and he had some people that wanted to race but didn't want to buy a flathead....and i don't blame them.

also forgot to say that I realize its not all motor......but could a stock light flathead beat a two cycle???????

No. there is no way a wka stock animal could beat a uas 2 stroke. A mod 305 might be able to keep up.

I think really more than anything if the motors are on a level playing field (realizing some build their own and others have top engine builders do them) then really chassis setup, tires, and driver are the most important. Brandon Young (won three classes at Tunica last year) told me yesterday their is 1 tenth in the seat. I agree with that and that the chassis and tires are important as well. But for those things to work for you the motors should be at least the same hp ect.

K-Dawg, just to let you know, one of the reasons Mike went to an animal, is that his engine builder, Black Sheep Racing Engines, out of North Carolina suggested it would be cheaper in the long run.
He is also our engine builder, and our rebuild cost are really beginning to hurt. The flatty parts are not as easy, or as cheap, as they used to be. Some people can still get the parts cheaper, but some may pass an extra expense on to you for what the prices are moving up to.
I think that once you drive one, you will buy one, and forget the cost.

Just in from the fair board, if enough animals show up in the Jr class, they will seperate the flatheads from the Animals.
6 needed to win the $150.

unrestricted...again

Kurt, are you even reading My posts. I dont expect to see many, if any, do you? And if so we'll see about putting them in a weight class alone or giving you guys a weight brake or something. Im trying to work with you, you gotta work with me.

Just a few suggestions......

Heres a few suggestions;

:Start them in the back
:Make them run flat tires lol
:Let us pull our restrictor
:Split payout
:Hook us on the rear bumper of Jon Easley ( we will settle for 2nd ) lol

I can't think of any GOOD solutions, so we will just spin you all out. Lol

Looking forward to racing, see you all there. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know i have been reading them but you just didn't say that any of that was for sure....you siad you were tossing different ideas around.......sorry i didn't want that to come off like i was being pushy lol. I would like to take this time to that you mike for putting up with my stuborn A** lol and working with me on this issue........there are other flatty's in unrestricteds that feel the same was as me they just don't voice there opinions like i do! Thanks again.....

K-Dawg 30

Thanks Dawg

Sorry, I dont really know what to say for sure yet. I need to see how many we might get there first. We hadn't planned on doing anything different than i'd seen at other track. If theres change in unrestricted class it may have to come in at drivers meeting discussion. Unfotunately, I know you would like to know ahead of time. Just not that easy. Juniors wasn't so bad, only one class. Unrestricted gets complicated with 3 classes. Plus, the board doesnt like any changes. So, I have to be careful what I say I can do.

See ya, Mike

k....sounds good mike......see ya there......you goin to belle rive tonigh???? Strippit ain't racin this week as far as i know.

Bellerive

Really wanted to, but still have some fair stuff to finish up. And I dont think the moneys goin to hold out for a FRi. then Wed. then Sat. again. :(

I'm not for sure but I don't think the times are that much different at Belleville and Coulterville between tha stockers and the modified class! am I right or not? kind of curious what are some times in the mod or outlaw class at these tracks?

Some nights the stockers are faster than the outlaws at Bedrock.

I will keep dreaming and hopefully someday it will happen lol......as far as lap times....on a good night at belle rive whenit has alot of bite the front runners in the lights run 11.90's and low 12's. As for mods idk. At coulterville on a good night I ran 10.8-11.00 laps. and again idk about UAS.

Well at Coulterville all the stockers that are fast should be around 10.7 to 10.9 and Belleville should be the same. So as far as I'm concerned at those two tracks if you can get hooked up the motor don't matter unless you get the bigger motor hooked up also!
